I previously went to another orthopedic doctor in Lansdale (who is now retired) but after several visits, $400 orthotics that are very uncomfortable/useless, and no change in my pain I decided to try someone else. I met with Dr. Miller and explained my problem. Upon his initial assessment he determined I had plantar fasciitis. He recommended a plan of action, starting with a steroid shot in my heal. He recommended putting ice on my heal once I got home, a few stretching exercises twice a day, and a few prescription meds. I can honestly say after only a few days following my visit I feel 75% better with little pain. I just had a follow up appointment, and he provided one more heal injection and supplied me with full foot orthotics for only $69.00. They are much more comfortable than my other $400 custom orthotics the other orthopedic sold me... Dr Miller is very friendly, very thorough, and treats his patients with the upmost care. I was referred to Dr. Muscarella by a friend who swears by him. Long story short, I twisted an…read moreankle and Patient First asked me to see a podiatrist for follow up on my ankle/foot. After a month of therapy that didn't work, I gave in and I'm glad I did! Dr. Muscarella is super knowledgeable and you can tell he really cares about his patients. He was almost instantly able to pinpoint my issue and within a week, we had the x-ray and MRI to prove it since his staff worked with my insurance to get everything done promptly. (Literally a week in between our original and follow up appointments to get the testing and discuss the results of that testing) Tonight was my follow up appointment to discuss the results of my tests (which he pulled up through facilities website and showed me why I was having certain issues and aches). We discussed support for my ankle in the meantime and he had the answer to my issue right there in the office for me to take home (an ankle boot essentially!) Within a day of receiving my new orthotics, they squeaked loudly. I returned to the office and the same podiatrist said they were squeaking because my shoes weren't supportive enough. (I've worn custom orthotics for decades and never had this problem.) I invested $ in two good pairs of shoes. They continued to squeak. I also felt like my feet were less comfortable than they had been in the old orthotics. I asked to see a different podiatrist at Barking Dogs. The owner of the practice ordered some modifications to make them more supportive. I then had to wait about two months to get the modifications. The office staff said this was because the lab is in Canada and it was taking longer due to new tariffs. When I received them, they were very uncomfortable. When I got testy and asked for a refund, he refused because they already invested money in them. He urged me to give them a few more weeks. The comfort did improve but they continued to squeak. He put Elastoplast material on the bottom. They didn't squeak in the office but the next day it resumed. After a few more weeks, the top layer began peeling off. My expensive shoes have also stretched because the orthotics are wider than they should be. Since I spent $500 for these poorly made orthotics, I can't afford new ones. I've returned to wearing my old ones, which provide less support but at least I don't sound like a one man band when I walk. I'm looking for some non-custom orthotics that will fit my narrow feet. I'm disappointed since this practice is highly rated, so I expected a good product. If you need orthotics, go somewhere else.

Worst service I've had there. Nothing like they never answer their phone or have their doors open…read more I mean the girls at the desk see you walk up to their door at normal business hours, but don't bother unlocking the door to let you in. And nothing worse than getting unwanted surgeries for something that was totally not needed. And the surgeries could have been handled a lot differently.
