Large port with minimal facilities. Its just there to get you onboard your cross channel ferry and nothing else. Three booths to stop at, French immigration then UK immigration, then check in with the ferry company. Relatively well organised, I passed through the port in peak holiday season with the minimum of fuss. Facilities pretty much non existent, I couldn't see any restrooms anywhere.
A mile down the road is a tent city full of migrants hoping to illegally enter the UK, though you won't see this unless you turn off the main road. read more
