The way I took was a 45 minutes to an hour (eek!) hike from a parking lot off Camí d'Alfurí where I parked my rental scooter. It was a long walk! To say "I wasn't prepared," is an understatement. Mostly up hill, sandy, rocky, and mixed amounts of shade. But all that aside, it was soo worth it! When I arrived at Cala del Pilar there was a staircase down the rocky terrain to the sandy beach featuring deep turquoise and blue waters framed by rich red walls. All that and less than twenty people to share it with! PERFECT! Apparently the red mud near the stairs is actually used by many folks as a mask treatment. I soaked up some sun and dipped my toes in the perfect waters while snapping some pictures. It was totally worth the journey for some quiet time away from the more crowded beaches. I would def do it again! The walk back was far easier physically, but mentally you just don't want to go!

PLENTY. It is definitely needed on sunny days. There are lock boxes attached to these sun hut poles with a built in combo lock. For your keys and money while you enter the water. The water is clear and a very warm temp. You can also just set up camp under the plentiful trees which provide shade. The longggggg stretch of beach is clean. Also- there are facilities. Clean new restrooms and a restaurant. Restrooms are FREE to use. We did some of the water activities featured on the beach. Great for families. Yes there is a charge for it.

I thought the beach would've been packed for sure but instead, it really wasn't. They have umbrellas and beach chairs you can rent or you can lay down wherever you'd like. There are a couple little beach shops if you want some food or beach snacks, ice cream, drinks, etc. The water was INCREDIBLE and it felt like a pool. Despite it being SO cold, it was absolutely worth it. The water was as fresh as ever and SO clean. You could swim, do laps, snorkel, float, relax and enjoy. The favorite thing was having the fruit girl jam out to her fruits while selling mango, coconut, pineapple, watermelon and all the delicious fruits you'd crave while being at the beach.
