Moss is a gorgeous lounge bar which has been open for about half a year just under Las Setas. As…read morefar as I know, its the only one of its kind in the center of Seville and benefits from being slightly hidden (it took me half an hour to find it the first time I went there to hear a friend sing in a concert). It has a cocktail list that includes all the favourites- mojitos, margaritas and caipirinhas. They are absolutely delicious but watch out- they certainly pack a punch! Inside there are the typical lounge seats- white sofas with low tables, and right in the middle of the bar, a beautiful bonsai tree with fairy lights strung up around it. The service is great and Moss is certainly the sort of place you could happily spend a whole evening. The only downside is that being right next to the market, the breeze wafts in the odd smell of fish which can be a little unpleasant.

Order the Lost Boy and they bring you a blood kit with a communion wafer. I ordered a Vodka Martini. The waitress went and got Frank the head bartender. I explained what I wanted: a classic Vodka Martini, stirred but not shaken. He immediately understood. What came out was perhaps the best martini I've had in Europe. No easy feat. I told frank that he should name it: Octopussy in homage to the Roger Moore 80s 007 film. 80s music is blaring and the crowd is Gen X. If you go, ask for a Vodka Martini and tell Frank a former "Company" man sent you.

The entrance is a bit hidden, you need to walk in and see the LE XIX sign on a billboard or the wall. Only reason for a 4 vs 5 star rating here would be that the menu is short and not easily accessible. It's written on the left side of the bar. Only, only do the mainstream popular classic cocktails, so nothing too extraordinary. But for sure a great spot to stop at either with a group or for an intimate date. The decor and seating is more classy than casual imo, but either way no need for a jacket or coat to come here, casual attire is fine.
