There are a few phone #s to call for an appointment or other matters & if no one is able to answer your call.. There is a messaging system that gives you instructions for whatever you may be calling for, there is also email &/or fax the office can be reached through.. Dr. Bruce does her best to accommodate her patients. I require monthly medication but Dr. Bruce only requires me to see her personally 4 times a year, unless a visit is needed sooner. I have to come in every 30 days to pick up my prescriptions for a Controlled Substance (as is Required by Federal Law) but for that I simply pay a $25 nurses visit.. Otherwise, I can simply get the pharmacy to call in when I need a refill. The down side is.. sometimes it's not easy to get in because Dr. Bruce stays booked with many satisfied patients, but if you really need to get in to see Dr. Bruce, her staff will work you in somehow (because they care!). It's hard to find doctors we trust & feel cared about in this day & age, but when you do find one.. You keep them.. That's why I've been with & stood behind my doctor all these years!.. A younger lady finally comes in the phone and tells me "I'm sorry you called during our busiest hour and had to wait on hold" I responded with I called yesterday as well with no call back. She begrudgingly made an appointment for me after I inquired for one and after she made it I said thank you and she disconnected the line. It's totally understandable that half your staff is at lunch, but so are many other people who can only make personal calls on lunch. Your frustration is valid, but no need to be rude when your job is literally helping people. If this is your typical day then you need a different job. Poor service on her part, expected better.

I have never in my life received a bill for a well-woman's exam until I visited this office. I called to get a better understanding of why I occurred charges and was extremely upset at the feedback! (Because they did one test, they automatically perform an addition test (which is what I was charged for) and on-top of that, they did not do 'all' the test I usually receive (ie, blood work, testing for all STDs, etc.)) So, if money is not an issue for you (as it is a college student who doesn't enjoy surprise bills), then yes, visit Dr. Johnson. Otherwise, do not go to this office unless you find out before your visit what is all inclusive in the visit! Again, Dr. Johnson was enjoyable; it was the billing that I did not like from the billing department.

They are slow to acknowledge you at the window. On Friday the 31st I was supposed to have a blood draw to check my A1C,. Upon my arrival I found the office to be closed. I called after the holiday and was told that they were on the emergency room side. The doors were locked and no cars in the parking lot. I don't have an emergency, so why would I go to the emergency room side of this clinic. Today I showed up for my appointment and was told I had the wrong date. I was told one thing on the phone and apparently it got switched. I'm tired of the rude, smug front staff. I will be looking for a new doctor.
