It was a nice surprise to see how decked up Fisherman's Village is. Def a place to get into the Christmas spirit. So many decorations and fun photo ops everywhere. We walk throughout the area, the have lots of shops, cafe, ice cream and restaurants and a tiki bar. You can also take a sunset boat tour. They also have nice water views. This is def a great place to visit for all and especially at Xmas. A new restaurant is opening the second week of January 2026 too towards the very end after all the shops. Just keep on walking. This is also dog friendly so we are happy to walk our dog here. Half is shaded half not and there is plenty of free parking in the lot next to it. 4 stars bc prices can def be tourist prices.

This is an out of the way botanical (and sculpture) garden that doesn't look like much at the…read morebeginning but gets better as you go along. Admission is paid at a booth as you drive in. They normally accept AHS reciprocal memberships for admission, but because there was a special exhibit (origami) during our visit, we paid a reduced rate vs getting in free. Wrist bands are issued when you pay. Once you've parked there's a booth where you can get a map of the premises. The garden is divided by Riverside Drive. The side where you park is just ok, but much of the real beauty (at least in mid- March during our visit) was on the other side of Riverside. There are lots of sculptural elements, pools, and garden color in that area. There's a koi pond, and we saw a little blue heron there during our visit. We spent about 90 minutes enjoying the scenery. There are apparently plans to enhance these gardens, so stay tuned!

I am in need of a couple of birthday gifts so I thought this store might have something I could get as a gag gifts. Some of the items they carry are funny face masks, signs, novelty bandages, and prank items like fake teeth, slimitizer hand sanitizer, and gag lotto tickets. They also have a lot fun board games I haven't seen before with unique twists on them like dog-opoly and Punta Gorda Opoly. Other items included socks, toys, puzzles, and a large selection of Funko Pop Vinyl's, (I liked the Dobby one and the Child from the Mandalorian). Unfortunately while I was shopping a young man who was working in the store started following me and it wasn't in a way like I am nearby if you need assistance. Every time I made a turn in the store he was popping out right behind me or next to me. It made me so uncomfortable I ended up just leaving without buying anything. It was very large inside and the variety of stuff is extensive, but you find anything to be worthy enough to buy while I was there. I've spoken to other people that have gone to this Tuesday Morning location they said it's a hit or miss, sometimes you find things that are awesome and sometimes you don't. I didn't see many employees there either. It was just the one lady working the register. Some of the prices seemed a little high for what they were selling. Would I go back there? Maybe, if I was in the area and looking for something to do to kill time. But I wouldn't travel all the way down there just to go to the store, which is what I did the day I went in December when I went there. Luckily there was a UPS store in that little strip, and I had to drop a package off, so that's saved me a stop elsewhere.
