My wife's second time, and my first time at this restaurant. Wow.... Though the title of their establishment is 'Cafe', don't let that fool you. The food was excellent!
My wife and I went for dinner on Friday, 19 September. They have a set menu for 69 Reals. It was almost like a tasting meal. There were many appetizers, you have a choice of a variety of main dishes, and desert.
The food began to come out, first with a basket of bread accompanied by olives, mozzerella cheese, grilled eggplant, grilled red pepper, and red pesto. Next came a small pan of steamer clams that have been garnished with tomato, garlic, and herbs. That was followed by a plate of baked polenta covered in a nice bolognese sauce. At this time, we chose our main dish. I chose the lasagna and my wife chose the gnocchi with with pesto. Both dishes appeared to have been made from scratch. Fresh ingredients and the flavors were wonderful. the serving for the lasagna was quite large. If you don't have a large appetite or you are full from everything you got served, you could easily share this dish.
Other main dishes you could choose were ravioli, spaghetti, penne, and other pastas, and then you could pair that with a variety of sauces. I think there were about seven different sauces you could choose from. I believe they make their own fresh pasta and sauces.
Finally the desert. There were five to choose from.
In the end, we rolled each other out of the restaurant feeling highly satisfied by the food and the service. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this is totally worth the money.
The establishment is cozy. There were four tables outside and double that inside. We will be returning. read more
