My husband and I discovered Luan on our last trip to Campeche, and I am grateful to be back. It has everything you want in a café--friendly service, a cozy atmosphere with lots of seating areas, free WiFi, excellent coffees, and of course, delicious food. This morning, I had a large latte and the huevos motuleños--tortillas piled with ham and refried beans and salsa and plantains. So much yum! My husband had the molette (forgive likely misspelling) Del Patio--a fresh roll split in two and topped with refried beans, scrambled eggs, queso, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, and super zesty guacamole. Unlike at American restaurants, they're not concerned with turning tables at Café Luan, and you are invited to linger--and savor--as long as you would like. Don't mind if I do.

Picante breakfast - eggs potato, pepper, cheesy goodness

We stopped in here for breakfast - sat at one of the tables on the street in Old Town Campeche. The breakfast menu seems to have something for everybody - eggs, waffles, pancakes, croques, etc. My wife had huevos mexicanos and I had the "picante" which was a bowl of eggs, potatoes, cheese, salsa, and spicy peppers - delicious and kept me full until dinner. Prices are reasonable - not including tip, 285 pesos for 2 large lates and breakfasts

Amazing!! Great food and service we had the huevos monteńos (sp) basically toast with beans and avocado delish!! We sat outside it was a Sunday morning and quiet very relaxing. Staff was great, espresso was good the latte was ok and the pastries where not good. Stick with the food and you will be in love. Enjoy!

Really bad service. Very slow and many mistakes. Won't come back. Food was good. Cute place. Disappointing.

Chef Arturo has done a great job integrating local and traditional ingredients, spices and techniques into very interesting dishes. Check out the wine list for some very nice wines. Service is very friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Servers Carlos (dinner) and Jocelyn (breakfast and lunch) were great. They were very helpful with our limited Spanish. Given the US dollar exchange rate, the prices were extremely reasonable. The setting is beautiful. Check out the pictures on the hotel website. https://www.marriott.com/hotels/hotel-information/restaurant/cpehl-hacienda-puerta-campeche-a-luxury-collection-hotel-campeche/ The added benefit is that the restaurant was never crowded. This place is comparable to the best restaurants in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, or anywhere. We tried other places in Campeche and they cannot compare.; If you are looking for a unique gastronomic experience give it a try.
