There are great little nooks with couches and tables in a very comfortable setting for a long quiet dinner. We started with a Lebanese red wine (forget which one but it was a Syrah blend toward the front of the wine list) and the tiger prawns in lemon and cognac over a bed of arugula. Perfect combination. The entrees were both lamb, one with a garlic yogurt sauce, the other was a vegetable base and we both had potatoes for the side. I ordered a sandwich with avocado, onion, cottage cheese, arugula, and lettuce and since you are given a choice of any bread they have available I chose a pumpkin seed bread. The bread itself was very delicious and fresh as were all the ingredients and this was the perfect healthy lunch. My wife enjoyed her open face sandwich consisting of Serrano ham, arugula, lettuce, cucumber, pickle, and mozzarella cheese. There are a selection of beverages in the display case and I chose a can of flavored sparkling water and my wife had a bottled smoothie. There is also water available for free behind the counter. The atmosphere here was friendly, comforting, and inviting. The food was delicious, fresh, and healthy. If I had spent more time in Stockholm I would have certainly returned to Bulleboden.

Though on this visit I'd already had lunch, so I went for another favorite: Isis - hard bread sandwich with slices of feta, tomato and parsley/garlic salsa. It was just as divine as I remember it. And so was the chai I had with it. I remember the cakes as being equally heavenly, but had to resist them this time. I love places that are able to withstand time and the changing trends, all the while staying genuine and true to their core. It is the proof of true jewel. The combination of both dishes resulted in some serrrrrriouusssss heartburn. I felt dirty and greasy after eating it. Because I paid 130kr just to get bad heartburn (I don't often get heartburn), I give it 1 star. The flavor also just wasn't up to par compared to what I've had in San Francisco. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. On a side note, staff are smiley and friendly. Restaurant is a bit dark for my liking.
