And they serve coffee ! Who would have thought?!

This place is great. Right in the centre of the city it's easily acceptable and has a large group of regulars . They have a wide range of specialist beers which draws in many people. Often the place is a great mix of locals and tourists. They always have fresh orchards which I like as they look and smell delicious. Add for a bit of colour if you're sitting outside. Perfect place for a beer or two be is 5pm for an after work drink or 1am for a late night catch up. They have different DJs playing each night. There is no room for dancing but often upbeat fun music.

I'm here now. You should be here now. Yes. You. Excellent beer, nice people, nice weather what more is necessary? Nada. But seriously...Café Belgique is small and quaint. It's what makes it so pleasurable. The Gravenstraat, where it's located, is literally 10 feet across. The two benches attached to their front outer wall seats 8 comfortably and standing in the middle of the narrow street or against the opposing wall - with a drink - can bring them a hefty fine. So, they draw a line of demarcation (two feet in front of the benches) on the brick street with a piece of chalk which you are asked and required to stand behind. It just makes it all the more cozier. Inside, the bar seats 6-8 and the two tables, left and right of the door, seats 12-14. And that's it. Weather permitting, sitting on the benches is the best place to people watch in Amsterdam. Trust me.

What a gem in the back alleys! Great service, great atmosphere and great Belgian beers in tap. Kwak is a must-try because of the glass but try the other ones too. I'd definitely come here again!

I love that their awning says absolutely nothing!

My husband and I were walking around the De Pijp neighbourhood on a Saturday afternoon and was…read morelooking for a quick lunch. We have heard of Donnies, but have never been so thought this was a good opportunity to try it out. Food: Since we were looking for a light lunch we decided to share the large size of the Kapsalon Kip. The Kapsalon Kip has responsibly raised chicken, hot sauce, garlic sauce, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, jalapeños, cheese and wait for it...french fries! It's definitely big enough for two people and SO DELICIOUS! We kept saying "OMG, this is so good". Drinks: We ordered two ice teas and one beer. If you're a beer lover they have craft beers on their menu. Price: €19.35 Service: Service started out pretty slow when we arrived. No one came to us for 10 minutes and I went outside myself to get the menus off the tables there to see what to order. But once they realised we were there and took our order the service picked up. The waitress in the end was nice and friendly. Ambiance: It was pretty quiet on the Saturday afternoon we were there. The space is very nice and well done. Definitely the nicest doner kabab house I've ever been to. Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY! I'm looking forward to trying other things on their menu.
