The worker Giovanni was great..super nice and flexible, as they were mostly out of food, but he was able to put together some snacks to munch on while drinking.

We went for a long walk this morning and ended up walking by Dal 1931 Caffe Berardo which seemed like the perfect place to stop and grab a quick bite to eat. The place was pretty packed this morning but we were able to get some food and sit down fairly quick. I ended up getting what was basically a chocolate custard bowl which seemed to consist of vanilla custard with chocolate on top of it which was absolutely delicious and gave me a new found love for Italian breakfasts. If you are in Rome and in need of a small bite, check this place out!

During my vacation in Italy, I think I went to this shop more than 5 times. Their coffee had a strong but good fragrance and it was really tasty. The store clerk offered free samples which made me really want to purchase some bags from the store. My favorite flavors were Napoletano and Mezdi. If you find a 101 Caffè in the area while traveling in Italy, take a peek! It was my favorite coffee shop in Italy!

Lovely little Italian cafe and espresso bar! My friend and I randomly dropped by as we were walking…read morethrough Rome on our hunt for cannolis, and we decided to pop our head into Caffe Circi. This cute little shop not only had cannolis for sale, but they also had multiple flavors...and mini versions so you could sample multiple without making yourself sick. We decided to get two mini cannolis, one filled with chocolate and the other with pistachio. Both were super tasty, although I think the richness of the dark chocolate won out in the end; the pistachio flavor was present, but not quite strong enough to fight through the sugar in the cream filling. The shell was a little bit too hard and overbaked, but I assume that was a result of their size -- the normal-sized cannolis were likely a bit better.
