Some of the sweets were overpriced. But the mini ensaimadas were 5 for 1EUR which was good (for a sugar powdered pastry). I ordered a chocolate coffee which I slurped down immediately (don't want to think how many calories it was). I also ordered a chocolate donut (which added to my exorbitant calorie count). Staff was alright (not super friendly/helpful but not completely mean either). But given my friend and I didn't speak much (i mean any) spanish they appeared to start getting a little annoyed when we were looking at the pastries up front and had us seated with english menus.

I am writing to address an unfortunate incident that occurred because of the food served at your…read morerestaurant at location of Carrer de la Vila, 9, 17310 Lloret de Mar, Girona, Spain on Saturday, September 7, 2019. At 4:00 p.m., my brother and I entered your establishment for a snack. We ordered the beef empanadas. The Empanadas were not kept in a hot warming compartment or kept in a cooler. While delicious at the time, we had no idea of what pain and suffering was to come. Several hours after the meal, my brother and I both felt severely ill. The only food we ate together that day was at your establishment. We both experienced nausea, severe vomiting, watery diarrhea, abdominal pain and a very high fever for 48 hours. Unfortunately the following morning we were flying back to Toronto, Canada from arriving back from our vacation. These symptoms made it extremely uncomfortable for the 9 hour plane ride while experiencing severe vomiting and watery diarrhea for the mass majority of the flight. I was disappointed in my experience at your establishment, the severity of the food poisoning caused me and my brother terrible suffering for several days. I believe my brother and I had Clostridium perfringens contaminate from meats. Commonly spread when serving dishes don't keep food hot enough or food is chilled too slowly.
