Bars in Italy are plentiful. Just in the main piazza here in Soriano, there are four. People in town like to choose one, and will refuse to go to any other one. I've chosen two. This is one of them.
My grandpa used to sit outside of this bar every day and just watch the day go by, you could always count on him being in his usual chair drinking espresso, and smoking a cigarette with a newspaper in hand. If you go to really any bar in piazza, you will see tons of old guys doing just this.
The pastries here are really great, and the coffee is, too. They do have soymilk, which is hard to come by in Italy.
A few words for english speakers and Starbucks aficionados:
Latte: means milk, not coffee and milk. If you want coffee and milk, order "Cafe Latte"
Cafe: is going to just be a shot of espresso
Cappuccino: usually only enjoyed during morning hours, but it is what you think it is.
This place also has sandwiches, so if you want a quick bite for lunch, you can absolutely stop here. read more
