It's one of the things I miss about Munich (food, friends & the Bavarian culture are a few others). Well, you're in for a treat, too! It's actually quite a large spot with many seating options, and very convenient to public transportation. By 4pm all the tables were filled with weekend revelers....and the din elevated significantly. The sound was a bit loud, but very congenial and jovial. My two drinks: a cappuccino (swan milk foam art!) and a hot cocoa (this one came with a bear!). I actually preferred the hot cocoa, very rich and dark and such an indulgent treat. Some key points: *they roast in-house. It smells divine. *They have an extensive menu that describes all of the beans and procedures, and even information on how you can learn to make the milk foam designs! It's located in an old building that also happens to sort of a museum "Art of Grinding" seems to be the theme here. It dates back to 1701 when it was a paper mill and then it became a flour mill in the late 1800's. After the war it was restored back to its former glory. Fausto have a roastery here and you can buy their coffee at the cafe. The cafe itself has a decent amount of seating indoors as well as outside. They have a nice selection of cakes and coffee. Not sure there is any other food here. I chose to have a coffee and we decided to share a slice of chocolate cake. The coffee was excellent as was the cake. It was a nice dense moist and chocolatey cake. I would happily come here again. The building itself is quite interesting and well hidden from the street.
