Hundreds and hundreds of steaks followed Nino's first foray into this cuisine - Like:
Dan Tana's in Los Angeles, Prime in Las Vegas, Gage & Tollner in Brooklyn, Bavette's in Chicago, even Buca Lapi in Florence, Italy (founded in 1880).
These very esteemed steakhouses taught me the meaning of what an excellent steak is.
Then out of nowhere today, came Asador Aramendi Berria just outside of Bilbao, Spain that just crushed this very distinguished list of steakhouses listed above.
I don't think I've ever tasted red meat this delicious and flavorful - period!
Our beautiful Ribeye steak from an old cow approximately 40 days of aging cooked slightly less than medium rare was untouchable to any steak I've ever had.
On top of everything else, Amamendi gave us amazing fries, peppers and a heavenly bottle of Spanish Rioja.
This lunch only restaurant will go down in my noteworthy restaurant book as one of the best I've ever ate at!
