To be honest, I only get the pupusas so my opinion is very limited on this restaurant. Food: Pupusas are the best. They have multiple flavors like chicharron, ajo, cheese, loroco, zanahoria, frijoles, Calabaza, and jalapeño, they also have a special (12) pupusas for $25 and that includes all the toppings and Salas. Tip: you have to ask for the spicy Salsa they won't just give it to you. This is the spot for pupusas. There big, madr to order and the flavors are really good. Love this spot. Service: The staff is nice. It's a large restaurant with very little staff. But very nice. Atmosphere: The restaurant is ran down but had plenty of space. It's not really a place to hangout at most people order to go. Price: The pupusas vary from $3.50-$4.25 depending on which ingredients you order. But the special is where it's at. 12 pupusas for $25. Location: It's in Inglewood on LaBrea and Manchester Blvd. Right next to the gas station. Parking is extremely tight. I parked on the gas station side and walked in. I had no issues. The food here exceeded my expectations! Everything was so fresh and felt homemade. I wish they put as much love and care to their restaurant tho. Staff is very rude. In a pretty surprising way. I walked in with a friend. Both of us speak Spanish and we're both Black. We greeted the woman working behind the counter in English but She said nothing in response. While I was looking at the menu she started talking to the cook behind the counter. Right in front of me she said in Spanish that we didn't belong there and was making rude comments about how I was dressed. When I heard her talking I immediately looked up from my menu and looked directly at her. She stopped talking. Idk why we decided to spend money there anyway. I placed my order for 3 pupusas. The price on the menu was 2.75 for each pupusa. But the receipt read 4.16$ for a pupusa de queso y jalapeño. And 7.50 for two pupusas de frijoles y queso. The menu has updated prices for all other items. So it was reasonable to assume all prices on the menu are current. I asked her in Spanish about the price difference on the receipt vs the menu. She didn't answer me beyond, there is a price change. She just ripped us off to rip us off. She greeted other non-black customers warmly, and served other customers who arrived after us their food first while my togo order just sat on the chefs counter unbagged. me and my son came here one time...months ago to try out the dozen pupusa 19.99 special. it was before 5pm and the lady working there was rude. turned us away and said it was too late to be ordering any food and that they were closed...when there was another customer actively ordering ahead of me, and there were several customers eating at that time. we felt bad and left. fast forward to 2/12/25 we arrived around 4pm and finally got a pleasant man working the register and ordered the dozen pupusa half cheese and half revuelta (mixed) we also ordered 2 ensaladadrinksm. those were okay even though someodf the fruit was kind of mushy inside. the pupusa were made fresh and were delicious! we received more than enough curtido and tomato sauce to go with our order. the only downside was the pupusa were kind of small. still a pretty good deal. this meal easily fed my family of 3 and we were all satisifed. Pupusas! I've usually had to go far for some good pupusas but not anymore! Their pupusas can be inconsistent at times. Some times they are better than other times but never have they been bad. The curtido (cabbage mix) is also great. Place is spacious but never has it been packed when I have been there. Good thing because I don't think there is much parking. Most pupusas are 1.99. I think there is one that is slightly more...the pork one maybe? I'm glad this pupusa place is very close to me but it's also bad because now I eat them more often hahaha. I've tried this place a couple of times. For lunch I tried a cheeseburger, which was a frozen patty with so-so fries; for breakfast I tried a classic Salvadorean huevos rancheros. Even though this is purportedly a Salvadorian restaurant, even that mean was pretty ho-hum. The one thing that really kills this place is the wait; there is usually one person waiting tables and one in the kitchen. If you come in when there is more than four or five people total eating, you will have a nice, long wait. For a late breakfast at around 11 AM I counted 12 people, and it took 35 minutes between walking in and receiving my meal. I also have to knock them for the way they destroyed the interior of a classic '50s Googie cafe, but that didn't affect my review. read more
