We came here just recently for dinner and the name has changed and removed the 'Oyster Bar' part so I am updating my review here and add my images in this one and erasing the other review.
The place is still the same and still love to go here for breakfast especially or lunch and dinner. The servers are great and place is always clean. My favorite now is Lugaw and fresh mango shake. Their Rockefeller Oysters are still good and the oysters are a little bigger this time; and still comes with two pieces in each shell. I can tell they clean the oysters off the shell as it's not grainy.
Totally, recommend still for their food options, service and meal options. [8/100]

Via Mare Oyster Bar is another chain of Filipino's food. This is the second restaurant chain that I have gone too in Manila. This one serves oysters in menu but I don't think oysters is a normal part of the Filipino culture? A medium priced restaurant for their menu. This restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating.
We ordered a few dishes to try. Mom ordered 'Pinais na Alimasag' which was two blue crab de shelled and cooked with coconut milk. It came with bagoong rice and two pieces of egg roll that did not have a lot of flavor. The crab dish was very salty but went with the egg roll. I had their Lugaw Toppings. Basically, it's guto soup (rice porridge) with all the fixings. You only need to add calamansi since the soup was salty enough.
We also ordered two different kinds of oysters. We ordered 'Parmesan' and 'Napolitains'. The 'Parmesan' really did not have flavor but that you would add the sea salt to it. I liked the 'Napolitains' as it has cheese, tomato sauce and herbs. The oysters are very small but each shell comes with two small oysters. These are more like New Orleans dishes than Filipino food? I love their fresh mango drinks! Tastes just like ripe Filipino mango blended only! Me fave!!
The food came out fast except for the oysters. The service was good but when asking for the bill, it always seems to take them forever to give us the bill like other Filipino restaurants here in the PI? I wonder why that is? Rating is more of a three and a half stars instead of four. Everything is good but will be back for breakfast!! I think I like that more than dinner. [66/100] read more
