Was looking for Schnitzel in Germany and stumbled on this place while in Bernkastel. Checked Yelp and decided to pop in for lunch. Yelp did not steer us wrong! The service was extremely friendly and accommodating for tourists and helped us order what we were looking for, (chicken Schnitzel). The food arrived quickly and was perhaps the best meal we had in Europe. Both of us ordered the Chicken Schnitzel with Rahm sauce, a mushroom gravy, and our plates were cleaned off. Came across this spot thanks to prior reviews mentioning an English menu. What a great place! Staff is super helpful and friendly. We ordered schnitzel and rump steak with pepper sauce. Both with German fries. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was more on the rare side. But that seemed to be the case in other restaurants too so perhaps the Germans just prefer the rare side? If you want American medium rare, go with medium. Food was still delicious! Wished I was hungrier so I could try more food. No outside seating but inside was nice. No AC but a couple of fans to keep the air moving. Definitely worth a visit. read more

Amazing German meal...thank you Yelpers for the recommendation! We ordered the champinon schnitzel, and local specialty (ham steak with sauerkraut mashed potato). All superb! Nice restaurant located deep in Bernkastel Kues. It's open on sundays and has an English menu. We were a party of four, and we each had drinks and a meal and our total was less than 60 Euro. I had the champignon schnitzel due to a Yelp review and I found it to be quite tasty. Their Kabinett wines were also amazing, which is to be expected in that region. Overall, for a quick lunch this place fit the bill perfectly, in more ways than one. read more

I came here based on yelp reviews. The staff was super nice and my waitress was as bubbly as they come and was very helpful in trying to help negotiate German/English. They have an English menu. Seating and arrival of (delicious) food was also very quick. The apple strudel wasn't the best I've ever had, but it was decent. But the chicken/veggie/potato dish was fantastic.
