Although this restaurant is identified as two $$, it is clearly a $$$$ restaurant. By the time we realized this, we had already eaten some of the bread and felt compelled to stay. Meanwhile, there is nothing light and simple to be found.
I ordered a bife de chorizo with grilled vegetables. It was served with four slices of a boiled potato, but no grilled vegetables. The server acknowledged the mistake and brought the vegetables, however, by that time I had already finished most of the steak. The steak was perfectly good, but at twice the price I expected something special. Instead it was of the same quality/size as everywhere else, but twice the price that we pay in restaurants in Palermo Soho, for example (if not more). Not a good value.
The atmosphere is very staid; old school. The dining room felt very crowded. i.e. little space between tables. The servers were attentive and polite.
I left feeling underwhelmed and tricked by the $$. This place is $$$$. Don't be fooled.
