We had a light dinner here last night and lunch here today. It's set up like a sidewalk cafe in the atrium lobby. I had salads both times, last night's a mixed greens w/ cherry tomatoes and goat cheese w/ an olive oil and lime juice dressing and today's rocket w/ cherry tomatoes, avocado, walnuts and sundried tomatoes w/ a balsamic vinaigrette. Last night Alan had a hamburger and today he had a club sandwich, both of which were accompanied by fries.
I liked my meal both times much better than Alan did his. He would have given it two stars. My goat cheese salad had a little patty of herbed goat cheese. It was a good size and satisfied me for dinner. The rocket leaves in today's salad were larger than I've seen but were tasty and the sundried tomatoes, walnuts and cherry tomatoes combined nicely. The avocado, on the other hand, was rock hard and flavorless. I;m not sure why they even served it. I wouldn't have let something like that leave my kitchen. Alan's hamburger was overcooked and the fries, were unimpressive, though better than the ones we had at Tashan Garden tonight. He wasn't pleased w/ his club sandwich either, which had a fried egg not listen on the menu. Service was sweet and friendly. If you choose carefully you can eat pretty well. We had water to drink. Alcohol prices seemed high to me and judging by the glass of wine served to a woman at an adjacent table last night, pours are scant.. read more
