The staff was very accommodating even with my unruly 3 year old not wanting to cooperate. We sat outside on the balcony overlooking a beautiful garden and pool (presumably part of the Alvya Hotel which the restaurant is part of). After dinner, we were greeted by the owner and the chef and he thanked us for visiting. I thanked him for a great dinner and he was even nice enough to take my son on a quick tour of the kitchen ;) when we return to Izmir again, we will definitely go back. Teşekküller Mitu staff. ;)

Wife had something purple (see the photo) w/a latte & I had the cheesecake with an iced latte. Son wanted cookies & cream ice cream (they were out) so they were nice enough to mix some chocolate with vanilla...which he didn't like. I asked them to take it off the bill (they did this after the bill was given). He ended up having some plain cheesecake. With all that said, the service was great and the waiters very attentive.

During the day it's mostly a cafeteria where you can have a Turkish coffee, tea, lemonade, soft drinks etc. At night it becomes a bar with full alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Being right at the center of the street you can also do lots of "people watch". Enjoy it.

Veli Usta is one of the three famous ice cream spots in Çeşme…read more I tried the mango (which didn't taste as full bodied as I expected), their mastic (which I enjoyed much more than Reyhan's version), and their blackberry (which was incredibly rich and unmatched in flavor). I will say that I overall prefer Veli Usta because I find their ice cream to be softer. It doesn't freeze as hard as Reyhan's so it's easier to scoop. Their mastic is also richer than Reyhan's although Reyhan's ice cream box is a bit more insulated and nicer. All in all, if you're in Çeşme, Veli Usta is not to be missed, especially if you like strong ice cream flavors.

Staff are very kind traditional handsome guys from Izmir. They are a breed of dude special to this part of Turkey.
