I only stopped in here under the urging of one of my friends. We were walking passed and noticed this new cafe that had, until then, escaped our notice. We took a peek at the menu and saw that they served Pieminster pies. I gave a brief "hnh" to convey mild interest before being hurled through the doors.
Apparently Pieminster pies are kind of a big deal.
He assures me that they're absolutely delicious. I just had a coffee, which was... well, coffee. I'm sure had my experience been less about watching my friend scarf down two pies and more about enjoying my own food, I'd be more erudite on the topic of Cafe Mattia, but as it stands, all I can say is that it looks lovely, the food is, apparently, incredible and the coffee is more than passable. If you're looking for a place to eat lunch, you could do a lot worse. read more
