I tried the Republika, which has a bit of confiture/jam in it, and it was oh-so-tasty. Thick hot dark chocolate with bits of fruit adding texture and a subtle hint of flavor. Definitely one to drink with the spoon. There are other options, including dessert cakes and pies, and ice cream. Bathrooms: Clean and functional. Fairly spacious.

This is one of the gems of Poznan and during the weekend you need to be lucky to get a table as most of the people will call ahead to reserve, even more if you are a group of more than 2. They have so many variety of hot chocolate drinks that you can come here a few times and still find new flavours. They also have coffee/ice cream/cakes etc but the speciality is hot chocolate (hence the name Cacao Republica). The ice cream base had a distinct banana flavor and creamy texture, enhanced by the crunchy cookie bits and chocolate chunks mixed into it. Absolutely divine, and the crunchy waffle cones were a memorable hit as well!
