I had gone here for years and it's changed a lot. The service was decent but the food portions are smaller than I remember and the prices are quite a bit higher. The small order of biscuits and gravy should have come with more gravy, it was very sad looking. The crab Benedict was tasty and the perfect portion. The other breakfast plate we ordered the full Jax biscuits and gravy was also disappointing. It says bacon or sausage and my husband asked for both (this is an extra charge of course and we understand that) but they gave us one sausage link. I wish I was joking but I don't know how anyone can charge extra and give you one link so I took a photo to share. After years of coming here, I think this will be our last visit. My aunt tried to warn me but I insisted because of our good memories.

This is a great find. Food was out quick for a weekend late breakfast. Even with it busy the service is extremely attentive and heartwarmingly polite. Staff know the regulars. Mr. Phil and his friend could be heard talking optics. There is a great view of the range right out the front window. No complaints whatsoever.

Cool little place off main street. Great staff and good food... burger, bacon, cheddar and onion rings. Wife got a vanilla shake...

Great small town diner. Waitresses are super friendly, the menu has lots of selections from burgers, breakfast and Mexican. Fun decor: a mix of old 50s diner and photos along with guests having written their names and messages on the wall.

Quaint diner with wait staff that are super friendly. We didn't order anything special, but we're very satisfied with our breakfast.

    Breakfast.

Diner food. What we expected. Service a bit slow though the place was very busy. Lively and happy atmosphere.

The dining area is fairly large and comfortable. Feels very old school but also happened to have someone playing the piano with some classic western ish vibes if you know what I mean that really gave this more charm. Food is very generous and definitely recommend splitting the prospectors breakfast. Chicken fried steak, a monster biscuit, hash browns and two eggs with gravy is a lot to take down. Even if you were to do a long after, not sure you can burn off this many calories. Chicken fried steak is good - thin and crisp but with a breadcrumb like crust instead of the floured stuff I'm used to getting down south. Sausage gravy is flavorful and a classic pairing but you can also opt for brown gravy instead. The biscuit is moist and a good utensil to soak up the gravy. Eggs and hash browns needed seasoning - there's no salt on it so add it yourself but the griddled crisp on the hash browns were good. Some of my friends got the home fries but noted they weren't that great so stick with the hash. Accessible parking downtown and a good stop to fuel up!

There is only scrambled of hard cooked egg. ***No yolky eggs*** and no pancakes. We didn't realize coming in. And when we got the cheesy scrambler, the eggs were VERY "wet". Now I don't want to start any rumor but they were very similar to how hotel breakfasts boil bags of prepackaged scrambled eggs then chop it up and serve it. Point being, unsure if they were fresh. I'm pregnant so I was skeptical at first to eat since they were so wet and runny. My husbands chicken fried steak was square. Another indication he thought it was prepackaged frozen. Both came with size of potato's and they were great! Crunchy on outside and soft on inside My toddler got the French toast sticks though and those were so yummy. They gave him crayons and a coloring paper which was nice! High chairs are available. My husband just assumed it all was reheated from the freezer isle. But I'm less difficult to impress, especially for breakfast, and usually he is too just something felt off here. And if the runny eggs didn't make me question than I probably would've never noticed anything. The woman working was so sweet and attentive. Old-school diner feel. It is self seating and you order at the counter. There was only one other couple there with us, not busy at all. Went on a Monday morning.
