Finding this place was a little "happenstance" while on a business trip. I was looking for a pharmacy open in Stuttgart because a cold was starting to rear its ugly head and I came upon this place. A colleague and I decided to check it out for dinner and I was very glad that we did.
The vibe is very upscale casual with a relaxed lounge-y atmosphere. Chilled out electronic music and candles on the table give it a hip yet casual ambiance.
The menu had a lot of different options and there was a huge drink menu. I got the Mexican wrap which was delicious - I've found that anything resembling Mexican food in Germany involves lots of corn but it was still very good. And it came with a huge salad which was great. I also ordered a mojito which was very strong. Good but strong (not complaining). And they had a HAPPY HOUR! However, they didn't call it happy hour. We didn't even know until we got our receipt but were very pleased with this discovery. My colleague had a "banana-weizen" which is essentially banana juice and beer; that doesn't sound at all appealing to me but he loved it. To each his own.
My colleague got a burger. It was a very "American" burger as in it wasn't open-faced, which made him very happy. He had to ask for ketchup and mayonnaise though, there was neither on the burger. But he gave it 2 thumbs up which is actually a rarity.
There were a couple of downsides. The service is kind of slow. The waitress seemed forgetful. My drink didn't arrive at the table until about 15 minutes after I ordered it, even though my colleague had his. She did apologize profusely but still annoying. Then we ordered a second round and that was very slow upon its arrival as well. Also, they don't take credit cards. You have to pay cash and my colleague didn't bring any cash with him so heads up there (not exactly unusual though in my experience). read more
