As always, food was delicious today at Cafe Edelweiss. My friends had Chef Salad ($10), Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich ($12.99) and Rhinelander Sandwich ($12.99) ; I had a much-anticipated Chicken Pot pie. The ice cream is homemade. The restaurant is owned and staffed by the Mennonite community--no credit cards accepted, cash and checks only. You order at the counter, food is served to your table, then you pay at the register in the adjoining store. There is one gender-neutral restroom that does not accommodate a wheelchair.
