When we first moved to Vienna, this was one of our go-to cafes for coffee or tea or a snack. The inside is really quaint and comfortable - couches and armchairs and pillows and whatnot - very colorful and full of "eastern" decor. The back part has more tables and chairs, which is less smokey (the non-smoking section), but because you have to walk through the smoking section to get there, it's impossible to leave here without smelling very strongly of smoke - cigarette and hookah, unless of course you sit outside.
The outside seating is nice at the right time of day, otherwise you'll catch a lot of sun (my mortal foe!) Overall, though, I like this place - it's good for a sandwich (grilled cheese/with ham or tomato and pesto), or a pita with veggies and/or meat. They also do moussaka plates, hummus, and the like. It is vegetarian friendly. I had some carrot cake here once that was quite good, too!
(3 stars instead of 4 because of the inescapable smokiness inside.) read more
