They'd been coming there for decades (she was a ski racer) and loved how the more recent owners had transformed the place. Their spontaneous and friendly approach perfectly captured the ambience. There were smiling faces abounding not only amongst the helpful staff but with the groups of diners. At the corner table and couch was a family with young children doing school homework. Came here on Saturday night and found a cool bar that was fairly packed. Dart board on the side,…read morepoles on the bar, balcony on top... yep, this place looked pretty good. There was a club downstairs that was good for drinks and dancing. The floor was quite sticky though. They didn't have proper wine glasses downstairs at the club, so the bartender just used some funky rounded glass that looked pretty cool. But she didn't seem to know what she was doing, because she poured way less red wine for me than for my friend before me. Oh well. I don't drink that much anyway. The DJ started playing some really repetitive tunes, so then it started getting boring to dance to. But still good to check out for a bit.

The bagel wasn't just a round piece of bread with a hole in it. And the jalapeño cream cheese was actually spicy! The interior of the place reminded me of cafés I would frequent in high school and college, except all the text and language being spoken was German, similar brown walls and menus with colored chalk. Felt like a homecoming for me. Seating is quite limited, or intimate if you want to out a positive spin on it. Not sure if they have wifi. I think they do as I saw a guy with an iPad.
