If I could give this place negative stars I would. This is the biggest tourist trap in Bern.
First of all, when your menu is so vast you don't specialize in anything. And that's certainly true here.
Next the only thing keeping this place alive is the fact that it's at the end of a popular street and when people get tired, the just want to rest. Nobody is going here for the food.
I got szchuan chicken, which was anything but. To the owner, just Google szchuan chicken and you'll see where you messed up. Next my wife's pizza had no tomato sauce.... Such a simple thing...
Next, we had the pleasure of sitting near the cooks and got to watch two cooks cook for the entire restaurant, so we knew exactly how long our food was taking... And it took over 40 minutes. There were only 3 other tables ahead of us.
Next, service. Our waitress didn't speak a lick of English. Now I know we Americans need to do better learning other languages, but this is a tourist restaurant. You need to speak English, period. Thousands of Asian tourists and we depend on it.
Lastly the manager was walking around, barely helping, totally useless.
Avoid this place at all costs!! read more
