First off, I have to give this place props because the bakery section looks amazing! Of course, I am not certain if the desserts and baked goods at LebensArt are vegan-friendly, but they do indeed look delicious.
As for the cafe itself, I was seriously underwhelmed. The menu excited me at first because of a coconut-curry vegetable dish for €5.50. Considering the lack of options in the area that catered to my eating habits, I was surprised to find a vegan offering on the specials page.
Unfortunately, it tasted like a microwaveable meal had been heated up and dumped on my plate, then slathered with tasteless sauce. Yeah, it was that bad. The vegetables were the best part, but the sauce was not that good and the rice was also lacking in any flavor.
The good part is that the service was quick, the meal was hot, and the food was filling. But other than that, not much I can say.
The inside of the restaurant is big, however, with lots of seating in various sections. There are tables out front and it looks like there is a patio out back, which could be nice in warm weather. But again, nothing in particular on this menu that would draw me to the place. read more
