No, this is not the Four Seasons or the W, but rated relative to budget/economy motels, this place rocks! For $40-50 you get a simple, clean motel room that is quiet, has comfortable beds, a micro and little fridge. You also get a friendly owners (who have been married 51 years) who will call you to confirm if the motel is filling up, greet you with a smile when you get here, give you restaurant suggestions, and tell you about the (curious) Chinese Museum honoring the many, many Chinese workers who built the transcontinental railroad. My mom used to take me on trips to the Southwest when I was a kid and we stayed in AAA one diamond hotels which were basic and clean. This is that, AT THE SAME PRICE (nearly)!! It's a safe bet in Lovelock, and all indications are that the economy rooms (1 bed) are a great value. My wife and I were travelling with our two boys and paid $60 for a room with two queen beds. The room simply wasn't big enough to fit both beds comfortably, and it felt awkward trying to get around inside. The room was well-cleaned, but also well-used. In fact, your experience will likely hinge on what "well-used" means to you, and your comfort level with said state. Room and linens were clean, there were no strange odors, and you got the sense that the owners genuinely cared about running a nice establishment. With that said, the linens, towels and carpets were really old. No problems here except for the comforter, which was so threadbare it functioned more like a sheet. The fridge had caked-on gunk inside. TV the size of a microwave with a handful of working channels. At a lower price point I'd be more enthusiastic about returning. Granted, $60 isn't a fortune, but it is a pretty hefty chunk for the budget motel genre. Still, I would return. The room was nice for what it was, and it seemed like a solid place; and I wouldn't like to hazard a different motel in town. read more

This is a very small, locally owned motel. The decor easily dates back to the '70s. Single rooms are small, about the size of a large bedroom and come with a queen bed that is pretty comfortable, a TV that might be from the '80s (it does have cable even though the picture has a green tint to it), a mini-fridge, and a small bath with a shower. Be sure to bring your own shampoo since there isn't any provided. Even though the motel is old, it is kept very clean by the couple that own it. Great little hotel owned by a nice couple. Clean, a bit old around the edges, but well kept. Another user mentioned it's like "staying in a guest room at your aunt Betty's" and that about sums it up. The beds were quite comfy. We only stayed a quick night but it did the trick and we slept like dead logs. The couple that owns it was great, the kind of room that we wanted was fully booked so they gave us a better one for the same cost. I was also driving across Nevada and needed a place to Stay the night. I am not the type of person that will just take my chances at any old hotel. I pulled up 'yelp' and this hotel had the best reviews. It was the middle of December, and about 9:30. But the owner had 2 rooms available. They are older, but very clean and cozy. If for some odd reason you find yourself in this strange little town, then staying at the Cadillac Inn is your best bet. An old little motel that has been kept up over the years and was actually very clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us in was quite friendly (unlike most of the town, except for the people in Safeway). Our room even had a refrigerator, microwave, cable tv, internet and a space heater - just don't try to use all of these at once - the power went out and there is no one at the front desk at night. Great price as well! If you get hungry buy some microwaveable stuff at the Safeway or eat at McDonald's. The food from Las Palomas, the "Mexican" restaurant down the street was not Mexican food to say the least and the steak at the Casino tasted like lamb. read more

You can't really give a motel 5 stars... But this one is a solid 4! I'm driving from California to Colorado and I was given the job of all of our destination stops dinner/sleeping arrangements/site seeing and such. We were going to try and make it to winimucca but were too tired. So, I looked at towns between it and Reno, and stumbled across this GEM! And it is! Owner is a nice old man. The cash register is his wallet, and all the tax is included. Clean room, very simple but CLEAN! I'm paranoid about motels and bed bugs, (thank you motel 6), so I searched and even did a perimeter check. Not even a hair! I would highly recommend this spot! read more

Yep, as others said, it is small and outdated, but clean. The sink was a little stopped up and the train woke me briefly in the night, but otherwise fine. Not a lot to eat in that town late at night except for McDonald's, but the Safeway has a surprisingly good beer selection. Rusting Model Ts in the lot were cool. read more

Great choice to come here. Price is amazing! Very clean and cozy. Would give it 5 stars if I didn't have problems with the TV. First, I couldn't find a remote. After I got the remote, I took a shower and put on my pajamas. Went to watch TV and it was fritzing out on me. Put my clothes on and got the (owner/manager) to come take a look. He fiddled around and got it going. By later in the evening, it stopped working again, Decided to read. I found this place last minute. It was a lifesaver for me and my buddy on our trip from Georgia to California. We had a hard time finding a place to stay for the night and had almost settled for continuing our drive west to Reno. Then the Cadillac Inn picked up their phone and the owner was very kind and helpful. We arrived about an hour later and ended up having a great conversation with them for a little while. I am giving it 2 stars as the room was clean. However, we arrived at 5:30pm and it was 105 degrees outside. The air conditioning in the room was off and the fridge was off and open. The window was open. It had to be over 90 degrees inside the room. We have a 1 year old that is extremely sensitive to heat, so immediately asked for a refund. We were told it was not possible to get a refund and to just open a window. Why would I want to let 105 degree air in?? I am extremely unhappy that I basically threw away $65. We had to go to a different hotel and pay for another room. Very poor customer service. read more

If my grandparents had run a motel, I think it would look like this. It's not fancy, but after a loooooong drive and being in need of sleep, it was cheap, clean and comfy. I knock it down a star because I'm not a fan of carpet in the bathroom in general. Otherwise, given that I had lost Internet access and chose this place blind, I'm very happy with the results. I arrived around 3 am and did not have to wait long at all for someone to come, quickly check me in and get the heater going in my room. I passed out on a comfy bed and was able to get some much needed sleep. Though I was just passing through, I wouldn't have minded staying at a place like this while visiting my relatives for the holidays. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and basic cable though I didn't use them. I did use the free wifi, however, which worked great for me. There aren't any free toiletries, coffee or hair dryers, but you can bring that yourself and I was fine without them. If you are on a budget and can make do with just the basics, this is a great place to stay on your way or even if you want to visit some place with a little character and local color. So happy I found this place! Thanks Yelp! The owner was friendly, the rates were unbeatable, and the room actually felt like someone cared about it. This is not a chain hotel. The same guy who checked me in was cleaning rooms the next morning. Room 2 had a fridge and a microwave. Carpet in the bathroom is not a great idea, but it seemed clean. Good water pressure in the shower. No shampoo, so I had to go to a store close by to get some. There are two stores you can see from the driveway, so not far. I can't comment on the town, because I was just driving through. This is not a fancy motel by any means, but quite cosy and cared for. read more

It's right off I80 and not only is the customer service excellent, they have by far the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and at 29 years old I have been in a lot of beds. This place...... Oh where do I begin. The pealing paint and the tiny bathrooms are highlights. The moldy carpet in the bathroom and the smell of wet musty dog added to the charm. Very nice people running it. The carpet in the bathrooms was a bad idea, but the rest of the room was nice and clean. Don't know what another reviewer is talking about with broken down beds--ours was great, a pillow-top mattress with very clean sheets. Even the bedspread appeared freshly laundered (which has not often been the case in chain motels). There was an actual small refrigerator with separate freezer that froze all our blue ice by morning. Much better than a mini-fridge. But we didn't find an ice machine, so plan to make your own or pick it up somewhere else as you leave town. I love the "Chinese Museum" and our 3 year old was thrilled by the old cars that are being restored in the parking lot, museum-style. read more

We stayed at the Cadillac Inn after having made an investigation of all available motels in Lovelock. Together with their opposite neighbour, the Cadillac had the lowest prices: 37$, incl tax, But the Cadillac was so clean, and nice and the couple that hosts the place are just so kind and helpful. And everything is CLEAN, unlike what you often find in places of that price range. And the WiFi was strong and fast. I can't believe that they do not price this higher.
