This is a really nice course. They have twilight hours so you can golf til it gets dark!…read more The course is set up as 3 nine holes so you can combine any way you want. Marsh. Creek. Oaks. All three are gorgeous and well maintained. I was genuinely shocked to show up at 5:30pm and be able to get 15 holes in before dark. There was no one in front of me!!! I stopped by again the next day to play, around 5pm, and I was able to finish 18. This time, I ran into a kids lesson- so the instructor said to skip two holes ahead and come back and finish at the end. I also ran into a group of 2 but they hustled when they saw me coming. The twilight price is $57 and change, which to me, is nothing, but compared to courses nearby, I can see why people don't come here. They can play for $35 or even $26 at other courses. However, you get what you pay for. This course is really great. Lots of nature. Challenging. Water stations and clean bathrooms throughout. On the earlier night, the shop had a rack of sale items outside. I wanted to take a closer look but didn't- wanted to start playing. Maybe one day I'll go back and buy something. Ladies stuff looked nice. They have a chipping, putting, and driving range near the club. Carts are comfortable , no GPS. Courses are easy to navigate with signs on where to enter and exit the fairways. I like this idea- keeps the course nice. I found a lot of lost balls while playing, especially in the water. Homes line some of the holes and I got some applause while playing haha. I would recommend this course but then again, I don't want this secret getting out. I hope this place stays empty cuz I like playing fast!

So I grabbed my cart and didn't bother warming up. I wanted to get in as much as possible in the time I had before bad weather arrived. They have a practice putting green and a range right by the club, with balls available at no charge. There is an ice and water machine on the right, at the turn, between the pro shop and the course. I filled up my cooler with ice. I checked in with the starter at 12:50 and he started me on hole 10. Apparently there was some work being done on the front 9 that would be finished up by the time I got there. I encountered a group of two ladies on hole 2, that let me pass. Then, a couple that had taken a break when they thought bad weather was coming, pulled up and passed me to continue their round. I eventually caught up with them and they let me pass. The single ahead of them also let me pass. I got stuck behind a group of four me. Who finished the hole and had gotten started on a par 3 and I opted to pass them. From then on, I was at my own pace. I finished 18 holes in 2 hours and 1 minute. That's a record for me. They have many tee boxes with great signage. I played from the reds, so not quite the front tees. The course was absolutely gorgeous and in pretty good shape! I loved the nature sightings. There is a lot of water on the course. Played a solid round here, getting 85. The 17th hole was my absolute favorite. Blind shot to the green and I made it!!!!! I will be back to play again. Staff were nice. I'm I'm I'm

Incredibly nice Golf Course. I've been there several times and thoroughly enjoy playing there…read more However, the staff is awful. The same starter has there for years and he has a chip on his shoulder. The Pro Shop people reflect the same negativity. Yesterday I played and had a 1 o'clock tee time. I arrived at 12:30 and they tried to push me out the back nine right away. I said I'd like to hit some balls first. I'm 63 years old. Then, the gentleman stated that he's not guaranteeing I would out by 1 o'clock without being behind a bunch of groups. I told him that I had a 1 o'clock time. I was very unhappy with his demeanor. And that's what you're going to get with the Pro Shop people there.

Quite possibly the worst golf course I have played in the entire state of Florida…read more The course layout was awful. The employees were rude. The course was completely oversold. The round took five hours and 45 minutes. When done with the hot round of golf. The clubhouse was completely closed no alcohol no drinks no food. Just one door open for a bathroom and that was on the back of the building. The golf cart attendant at the end of the round was a complete jerk. Other than that, it was an absolutely perfect day to be outside and see nature.

We recently had lunch at the Plantation Golf & Country Club pool bar in Venice and enjoyed both the…read morerelaxed atmosphere and the beautiful poolside setting. We started with the grilled wings. They had good flavor, but I would have preferred them cooked a bit longer for a little more crispness and doneness. The salmon, however, was outstanding. It was perfectly cooked, moist, and flavorful, and paired beautifully with the sweet potato, which was equally delicious. It was easily the highlight of the meal. We also tried the tuna poke bowl. The tuna was fresh, but the dish could have benefited from a more generous portion and a bit more seasoning to make the flavors really stand out. What made the experience enjoyable overall was the laid-back poolside atmosphere. It's a great place to relax, enjoy a meal, and spend time with friends or family. While a few menu items could use some refinement, the excellent salmon and inviting setting will definitely bring us back.

However, the ability to read the greens and putt with the right pace is key. The staff is friendly and the clubhouse and dinning rooms are amazing. My only complaint is the driving range doesn't offer target areas because your hitting into the water but there is an island green you can hit to. Oh yeah, the golf carts are equipped with a gps screen but I found the distance to the flag were off on a few holes. This was confirmed via my laser Rangefinder.
