It was awesome, we really enjoyed the course. They currently have one 18 whole course open and the other one is not open yet .We got to eat ice cream at their snack shop and we got to race go karts and play at the arcade it was a fun filled day, also the second time we raced go karts my 13-year-old son got to drive and I got to be his passenger. So they have single and dual passenger go karts. The bumper boats, water soaker zone and batting cages weren't open, but will hit them later when they are.

We ended up coming here in hopes of being able to fill the day with activities that varied. However, with it being close to the end of the season we didn't have much variation. Caddie Shack is well known in the area. When I lived in Pittsburgh it was always advertised as a weekend getaway area that would keep you busy. Go carts, mini golf, bumper boats, arcade and small carnival rides. An entertainment oasis during the warmer months near the turnpike, hotel resorts, and camping areas. Showing up this late in the season we knew that we weren't going to get all that much entertainment, but we were fine with that. All they had going were the go carts and mini golf. Even though they weren't completely done with the season. When we pulled into the parking lot it didn't look like it was all that busy. But looks can be deceiving. We first walked towards what is considered the admission area. Basically the arcade, we were met with signs that the building was not open and to head up to the concession stand/mini golf area to buy credits or admission. We utilized the restrooms before heading that way. The weekend we were here we were informed that they had a special going on that was unlimited mini golf. Good deal. We were given a wristband to convey that, allowed to pick our clubs and ball and then select one of the two courses to play on. Before we left we were told that after we finished our games the kids would get a treat bag, being close to Halloween. There are two course here for mini golf. The Highlander and Olde. We were directed to go the way of The Highlander first as it was supposed to have less people. We were directed wrong, but weren't made aware of it as we were already part way through the course. This is where things started to take a turn into 'not-so-fun' area. We hadn't even gotten to the first hole and we had other guests on our tail. We didn't even get to tee up and they were right behind us, making it not all that enjoyable. What complicated this more was that the people in front of us were playing the holes in such a way that it took more time to complete the holes. They each took a turn to completely get the ball in the hole and then when the last person was finished would they finally move onto the next hole. But that's not even the worst part about going this route. We were playing through until there was a bottleneck at one hole. There were three or four groups in front of us and that equated to nothing short of a traffic jam. At least we got to check out our surroundings. What wasn't great was that the residential neighbor was cutting his grass causing dust to fly all over the place. Mind you, when we got here, it appeared that the fire department was just on that property. What is enticing about The Highlander is that it goes through areas where you are supposed to be immersed in the surrounding. Going through a cave, playing past a waterfall, and water flowing throughout the course. The water didn't come on until well after we had finished the course. Mind you, we finished at a snail's pace with the jam of parties. Some of the parties in front of us just upped and left the course because of how slow it was going. Once we finished that course, we did the Olde course and continued playing. The Olde course is the smaller of the two, and a more traditional mini golf course. While we were playing this course they turned on the water. We thought, ok, cool, that is until the smell of rotting leaves and stagnate water hits you. Not to mention if you hit your ball off course into the water and can't retrieve it, you just don't get to play anymore. It was a mess. What makes it even more of a mess is that the two courses need some major maintenance. The bricks used to be the rim around the holes were not completely in place and might even be off completely, aiding in losing your ball. Some holes the green needed mending or complete replacement. Some of the tees, if a whole even had one, were not secure. It was a mess, as I said before. Usually, you buy credits to do things here. According to their website both courses are nine credits. One credit equates to $1. So $9 a course. If we hadn't gotten the deal of unlimited mini golf, I doubt we would have done both courses at $18 per person. Is it worth coming here? I can't say one way or another. Maybe during the height of the season it is livelier here, but it really isn't worth it to do a weekend activity.

We had such an amazing time here…read more This is an indoor, black light, 13 hole course and even if you don't LOVE cryptids now, you will once you finish this course! We found this course because we were checking out the West Virginia Paranormal Trail and when we arrived it was raining and they were closed but we decided to wait a while outside until they opened and I am SO glad we did. It's $12 per person but you can go through again for only $5 if you want. We probably would have done another round ourselves but time wasn't on our side. They give you a "lore card" and a score card so you get to learn all about the cryptids they feature while you play through and it is just so much fun. My favorites were the Flatwoods Monster and of course the Moth Man but it was cool to learn about some I had never heard of before as well and honestly we were tickled and smiling the whole time we were inside. It is small and does get warm inside and we were lucky that there were only a few other people when we went because they started getting busy as we were leaving and it was pretty cramped. If anything I hope that encourages them to open a larger spot and add even more holes. The owners were lovely too. They were warm and friendly and they had a super eclectic and well curated gift shop at the end of the course. We ended up getting a candle and some snacks but believe me, I wanted everything. I even asked about buying a display stand they were using for merch because it was so adorable and they made a joke about everything having a price. Then, as we were walking out, I saw a mask on the wall that I knew my hubby would love so I walked back and asked if they would sell me that. It turns out they had one in the back that they had had forever and were happy to sell it to me. The price was reasonable too so it was just a cherry on an already incredible experience. I beat my husband by a WHOPPING 11 strokes btw but that tidbit is really just for me. I hope the rest of the review was helpful and entices you to head over and support this fantastic establishment. The gift shop was very impressive -- small, and packed with cool things. We spent more money there than I was intending, but I also wouldn't mind returning to play another round and make a few more purchases. You can really feel the friendly atmosphere from the moment you arrive. The golf course itself is beautiful, well-kept, and full of unique character. There is so much cool paraphernalia and fun trinkets all throughout the property that make it interesting even between holes. Every hole was set up so neatly, with creative layouts, multiple drops, and thoughtful details that kept it fun the entire way through. I especially loved that they had an easier course for younger kids, which made it perfect for our children, and we also noticed the moving/more challenging course, which looked like something my husband and I would love to come back and try on our own. The seating areas placed along the way made it feel relaxing and enjoyable, and there was so much to look at that the whole experience felt special. It's a pretty good course, 18 holes up and down the side of a hill. They make good use of water, and the natural environment. Most of the holes are pretty straight forward, but there are a few challenging ones. Just be forewarned there are a lot of steps and walking up and down hill. Overall just for the mini golf I would say give this place a try. Where this place looses points in my mind is everything else it has going on. The parking lot is not great, too small and no lines painted so cars park all over. They have a wasp problem, it's to the point they tell you just to get another ball, don't go off the course at all. The person working there was not the most friendly person, I thought I was bothering him by asking to play there. But the weirdest thing is they have a sign that says it a $400 charge if you rip the turf, I play a lot of mini golf and have never seen that posted anywhere before. Overall a good mini golf place that is taken down by the non mini golf factors.
