Sure, a lot of pubs are now brewing their own 'house brew' but this place has a whole range of craft beers that they brew, namely the Lady Bay, which included the Whale Ale that you might occassionally see on tap around Melbourne. As a pub it is okay, nothing really all that fantastic, and it seems to be one of those places that are trying to target families as opposed to a specific crowd (such as the old folk who sit around the bar telling the bartenders all their problems, or the young and hip crowd that want to look cool by dressing like their friends). However, I didn't mind the place, and there were some decent outdoor areas as well. Mind you, they also have a sports bar and pokies, but they are hidden out of sight so that didn't bother me all that much.

Well after visiting Kermond's, I do not feel like I have now had the best burger in the world, but nevertheless the burgers are good. The one thing that I learned quickly about Australia during this visit is that they like to put beets or "beetroot" on their burgers, which gives the burger an awfully sweet taste. Honestly, not particularly my favorite thing, and something I learned from here out while traveling through the area to have them hold the beet. Nonetheless, the burger itself was good as were the "chips." Grabbed a shake as well which was pretty thick all things considered, but still tasty and worth trying.

we went to warrnambool a few weeks back to check out places to stay for the upcoming races we went…read moreto the rsl for dinner on raffle night had a fantastic meal and caught the courtesy bus back to our motel the bus driver was rude and an awful driver on our visit on race week we went for coffee in the morning before the races another bus driver was on and we couldn't have had a better experience with him he was kind and courteous and such a smooth driver he drove us to the races pleasant conversation on the way wished us luck and said he could pick us up later and take us back to the rsl for drinks and meal when he picked us back up he helped my wife get on the bus as she was sore from the walk up the hill and we chatted all the way back he later drove us back to the motel so overall a great experience great food great friendly service and great bus driver highly recommened

Well, I won't argue with them on that one, since I'm certainly not an expert on the matter. Anyway, I do have to say that I liked it, even though the beer selection really wasn't particularly great. Well, it was decent enough, and the pub certainly did have a rather nice atmosphere, though it probably does have something to do with the nature of the crowds that tend to flock here. There are a lot of trendy places in town that charge about twice what you will pay here. The food is generous and the flavor is still there. Add to this the bread, veggies and potato bar area and you have a great meal at a decent price. We had a chicken plate and a Guinness beef stew dish. Both were way too much food but we ate them since they were so good. Drinks were normal price. It could get noisy in there but it wasn't the night we were there. Music was playing over the speakers.
