It was quiet except for the soothing music which nearly put me to sleep. Water was offered before and after my treatment. I also had wine delivered from the service menu because, why not? I could easily spend all day here and there is no rush to leave. Staff are attentive to cleaning up after guests, fresh towels, clean facilities and well decorated spaces set the mood. A gift voucher saw me attending Sakura Lounge & indulging in a treatment that I would never…read morenormally have. I chose to have the Coffee & Chocolate Detox Body Treatment, which was interesting to say the least. A top to toe exfoliation followed by being smothered in the coffee & chocolate mix before being left to relax for 10 minutes. Sadly it was not a particularly relaxing time due to the noise coming from outside the room. After this a quick rinse in the "rainforest shower" (essentially just a large shower head in a regular sized shower in what may have been the staff toilet & changing area for all I know). It did not feel anywhere as near luxurious as what I had imagined from the online description. Once showered a layer of mosituriser was applied before I was commanded & positively pushed to sit up which symbolised a rather abrupt end to the treatment. On leaving the treatment room I was told that the glass of water & mint on the seating area was for myself. I thanked them for the treatment but this was barely acknowledged as I left the building. Overall it was pleasant enough but I wouldn't go back as there customer service was certainly lacking on this day.

Membership will give you full access, but I was here to claim a voucher deal for facial, spa, and high tea. Jurlique products were used for the treatments and you do get spoiled and treated well. Couple rooms are available ( in room spas ), and there are separate male /female steam/ spa / sauna rooms if you go with friends. High tea includes sparkling wine, and savoury and sweets. Their normal rates are too expensive for their services, but a good deal if you find a voucher / coupon.

Having mainly seen waxing services offered at your cheap asian type nail salons, I was seeking out somewhere more specialised after hearing some horror stories from others experiences! And then of the few waxing specific places I had seen, their booking times seemed to be extremely limited and nobody wants a rushed waxing experience because surely that can only lead to more pain! i was taking a wander down Johnston Street one Saturday afternoon and saw the sign for Clara's Beauty Room out on the street and put a note in my phone to investigate this further. I researched the website which in itself was very professional - always a good sign in my book! I then had a look at the facebook page and all the reviews seemed very positive, and so along with the Spring Specials advertised on the website, I decided I needed to give this place a go and if I had my own horror story at the end of it, then so be it. I am SO glad that Clara's was the place I finally took my Melbourne waxing leap. Horror story it was NOT! Let me start by saying Clara is an absolute gem! She made me feel comfortable immediately and the room where the waxing is done is just a little oasis (you enter via Monarch Hairdressers - and they were equally as welcoming to me and not dismissive like other businesses who share premises can be and directed me where to wait whilst offering me a coffee or tea and some magazines to read while Clara finished up with her previous client!). I had chosen one of the spring sale packages consisting of a brazilian, full leg wax and eyelash tint (which all together was under $90!!!). Once Clara had brought me into her beauty room, she had a bit of an introductory chat and then said she would start with the full leg wax while I got comfortable with her and then we could move onto the brazilian if I was comfortable - I have never had that offered to me before! There was no way I couldn't feel comfortable though because like I said, she is an absolute gem and I just loved the experience (as fun as getting hair ripped out of your body can be of course!). It was finished off with the lash tint, which she said she would leave on for 20 minutes instead of the usual 10 as she felt it would last longer that way, but if I was feeling irritable by lying with my eyes shut for that long that she could remove it sooner. I had no problems with this and she even gave me a lovely hand and arm massage to fill in the time. My expectations were definitely met and exceeded and I am SO happy I came across this business. I rebooked for the same package before I left as I can't see me going anywhere else.
