When we got to the theatre (a quaint, historic hall), we lined up, paid for our admission and were taken to our reserved table. We got a table to ourselves and when we were seated, we helped ourselves to ginormous basket of delicious snacks. The M&Ms were my hubby's favorite and I liked just about everything else. The house is spacious and deep and the stage is elevated which helps with viewing the performance since the house isn't raked. We went to see a performance of "The Foreigner" which turned out to be a fun, entertaining comedy. It was a great evening of entertainment and we got to meet the family and speak to them for a bit afterwards which really made me love this theatre even more. What a great venue, theatre company, and theatre experience. I'm excited to come back!

It's fun to see the creative process at work. Amateur actors mixed in with veterans of the stage are all here. Please note the theater is located in one medium sized building just beyond some businesses and an office or two. I recommend you come and see some of the shows. Support local theater!

Tried to talk to the instructor about his needs before his first class, and she blew me off saying "It's singing. He won't need to read." A week later she prints out lyrics to read on the spot. I watch him freeze up and just stare at the paper. My kid learns by listening and needs to take his time reading. She would know that if she didn't blow me off. A few weeks later, after the lesson she reminds him to practice, and as he says he will, the owner, who was in the room, laughs out loud at him. My husband even calls him out on it. No response or apology. We never went back. Here's the thing. Many artists have quirks that are actual gifts. But society often deems them as not enough because they are not neurotypical. I will be thinking long and hard about subscribing again. Tickets are done through Brown Paper Tickets. Brown Paper Tickets has no customer support telephone--only email. And MCT bounces any questions over to Brown Paper Tickets email. My husband subscribed in 2020, but of course, there were no shows. They rolled people over to become season ticket holders in 2022, but...he didn't know that. No emails were responded to about what happened to the 2020 subscription. Then, we needed the last 4 digits of a credit card used in 2020-which is no longer in use--in order to click through on a link found in a subscription confirmation email plus the confirmation number. My husband industriously dug through a back pile of statements to find that. Why the confirmation number isn't enough to book a seat is beyond me. Then...I tried to find seats close to another friend going to the upcoming show. But wait! The seats aren't numbered on the chart. So, you're actually guessing within a zone of seats. This is a truly insane system--I do everything online, but wasting so much time to get seats that were already paid for in advance is bonkers. If you want to see a show, just pay at the door. The worst that can happen is that they don't have a ticket for you--and heck--you will be able to go enjoy a local beer somewhere. No tragedy.
