From 1st grade they have plays the students get to be a part of . From building the sets to acting , dancing and singing . Every student is made to feel his part in the primary production was just as important as the lead roll. The 5th grade class during my time there would watch over the primary kids during recess . With that they combine the older students and the younger ones . While they are thought a sense of responsibility and leadership skills . The upper grade production is my fondest memory . . I dance , acted and sang in front of parent for 3 years at Dominguez Hills. Then we have the music class . That's where I found the love I currently still hold for the violin . It starts in second grade . My mother was Poor back then , the school provided one for free every year . Finally the 5th grade cimi trip . It was my first time ever away from my mother . But they made me feel welcome and at home . We were so busy having fun , learning and bonding that missing our parents was not posible . All around a beautiful school that will open up your child's world to the beauty of visual and performing arts . I'm now 33 with children if my own but I do wish one would've been able to attend south shores . During my time there Mr.Suzuki was our Vice principle . That man has the heart of gold . When this poor smelly 8 year old girl went into the office he said I won a gift certificate to k-mart for clothes . Never once did he make me feel like it was a donation given out of pity. Your children will be in the very best hands there . They love their Job . Most importantly this school will change their life .

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this school. What is advertised as a supportive…read moreand fair environment is anything but. It becomes very clear very quickly that if you don't donate money or volunteer your time constantly your child is treated differently. Students whose parents give extra money or help out at the school seem to get special treatment and are rarely held accountable for their behavior.Meanwhile, other students are more harshly punished for the same actions or for standing up for their self against these kids that do not face punishment. There is obvious favoritism toward students who are close with staff, and their behavior is often ignored or dismissed altogether. The division between students is also very noticeable, especially between public school and private school students.Public school students are treated as if they are less important or less capable, while private school students are given more grace. Both of my children one is my daughters step sister, she is treated like a trouble maker and was told she is making the school look "bad" as if both the girls are not the same which they are.On top of that the school feels like a never-ending money grab. You have to pay for everything your kids lunch, sports, free dress day.And all this adds up quickly adding the monthly tuition i pay for especially for a school that claims to care about its students .It places far too much emphasis on money and connections rather than fairness, discipline, and equal treatment.

Holy Trinity was the best decision we could have made for our children. Our son graduated from Holy…read moreTrinity School the year before last and is now beginning his second year at Loyola High School and is more than prepared. I cannot say enough about the community of teachers and staff that HT provides. This is a wonderful learning environment for our children. The regular curriculum allows for the children to take part in Spanish, computers (with state of the art equipment), hands on art and science and multiple sports teams through the sports program (volleyball, softball, baseball, track, cross country, soccer, basketball, archery, swim, etc.). We love HT and wouldn't have it any other way.

If you value your child's education and safety, look elsewhere. The issues start at the top with…read moretheir new Principal. He lacks the educational background and professional qualifications typically expected for effectively leading a school. His ineptness trickles down to his staff whom, by and large, are also unqualified and inexperienced. Some examples are: 1) core teachers are allowed to not use textbooks and can download and print curriculum off of the internet at their discretion 2) on a recent sailing field trip, a student fell off the boat into the open water and experienced a concussion. The attending physician indicated that this child could have died. This has been an annual trip for decades with zero issues until this year 3) a 3rd grader was able to walk off campus unnoticed and walk several miles to his home 4) bullying is a persistent issue (both student to student AND teacher to student). Little to no consequence is given to the offenders 5) their public social media posts recently show questionable judgment exhibiting a student saying her favorite memory while at HT is a "neighbor calling the cops on them" and a picture of a parent wearing a shirt that read " me and my mom talk sh*t about you" at Handbag Bingo. The profanity was not blurred out as I just wrote it. 6) In the yearbook a middle school teacher wrote to her graduating class " this year has been a pile of pink slips, long term subs and enough drama to fuel a Netflix show". Again, questionable judgment that this statement was allowed to "go to print". Legacy and generational families are given preferential treatment and the extreme nepotism is prevalent in every aspect of this institution from awards to grades. If you are not neither, your family and your child will be ignored (in the best cases) and bullied (in the worst cases). Holy Trinity has lost their way from the amazing school it once was to the broken academic institution it is currently.

Despite kids getting hurt the principal declines any conferences with parents at any cost (saying he's in a meeting with staff, other parents or that its will be nearly impossible to speak to him... If its impossible with all the staffs run arounds. the "yard lady's" look the other way when this bullying is happening according so a few kids I spoke to. Bullying is a HUGE PROBLEM HERE, and I demand something done to this inadequate principal, I will report him to the district for not doing his job correctly or who knows.. Maybe he's just not FIT FOR THE JOB. Since you know... He can't even Handel parent conferences. Not even to talk about a potential obstacle that can come back and hit him in the face for not taking proper procedures. I'm a very angry parent and will get to the bottom of this even if it cost me money to see something correctly done for once at this school.
