One of the destinations advertised on the Cabot Trail Artisans Loop. I pretty much visited all of the destinations, including this one. What's nifty is that there is a large window showing the back room where you can see some of the employees creating chocolate pieces and bars in the back.
As inventive as Cabotto Chocolates tries to be in their various offerings and as much as I wanted to like the chocolates, a lot of the hand-crafted chocolates either falls short or have an off-flavor. The basic callets (milk chocolate, dark chocolate, etc) that they use are fine with regards to texture and flavor. However, the flavored chocolates are to be avoided. I could not finish the maple walnut leaves or the butter rum dark chocolate bar, as they have terrible off-flavors and after-flavors that were difficult to get past. I had to throw the chocolates off due to how off-putting the additional flavors were. It seems that those chocolates were made with flavor additives, and not actual maple and rum. Does it make a difference? No idea, but I wouldn't recommend getting those two flavored chocolates. You're probably safest just getting the regular non-flavored chocolates.
