When I smiled, my eyes were reduced to small slits. I decided in 2019 to have a consultation at Premiere. The office is beautiful and serene, very relaxing and reassuring that this was a top notch practice. The staff was attentive and kind, as if they could feel my apprehention. Dr Heil listened to my every word, answered my questions, and explained the process in detail- prior to the procedure and through recovery. I was given an estimate and said I would "think about it." Well, I just couldn't do it. What would others think of me? How could I function while healing? What "if" something went wrong, etc Fast forward to May 2025- I made another consultation appointment and met w Dr Heil again- this time I was ready! Again, he explained in detail what to expect before, during, and after. We scheduled for December because that was a slow time for me at work and it would be easier for me to stay home during the healing process. Yes I was scared, but I did it, and could not be happier! The photos are taken day 38 after surgery, and it keeps getting better! In addition to removing the appearance of hooded eyes, I can literally see SO much better! The world is brighter and bigger. I didnt know how severely my vision was being affected. It took me several years to get the courage to have the blepharoplasty, (I had upper and lower), but I am very happy I chose Dr Heil @ Premiere, the care I received was beyond all expectations. However, our experience with acne treatment for my daughter has been disappointing. We prefer a tiered, collaborative approach to care--starting with less intensive treatments and escalating only if necessary. Unfortunately, this practice seems to favor jumping straight to the most aggressive (and expensive) options, without much discussion or openness to alternatives. We were particularly concerned about the strong push toward using The Burgh Pharmacy, which felt more like a business partnership than a patient-centered recommendation. On two separate occasions, we explicitly asked that prescriptions not be sent to The Burgh Pharmacy so we could review them with our preferred local pharmacy first. Despite this, Whalen still sent the scripts to The Burgh Pharmacy after a couple of days--disregarding our request. When we asked questions about the prescribed treatments or suggested trying a gentler approach first, we were met with resistance and even condescension. My daughter was told by reception, "Why would you ask your pharmacist?!"--a response that dismisses the value of a team-based approach to healthcare. We believe in informed decision-making and collaborative care. Unfortunately, this practice didn't seem to welcome that mindset. While they may be a good fit for some, especially for routine dermatological care, those seeking a more personalized, stepwise approach to treatment may want to explore other options.

From past experience I knew I'm a tough candidate to get a good fit and it can be quite miserable the old fashioned way. I had the best possible experience getting my crown from Dr. Dave! Our experience with Dr. Bucci has been wonderful. He provides excellent care and is friendly, attentive, and flexible to answer our questions and provide expertise whenever needed. Most recently I saw Dr. Bucci for a pain I was experiencing in the deeper muscles of my back. The pain would occasionally be so bad that it hurt to reach up or take a deep breath. I had ignored the injury hoping it would go away on its own for about 6 weeks before finally calling Dr. Bucci. After just the first session using active release technique (ART) therapy, I felt 90% better. In less than 3 sessions I'm now entirely pain-free. Amazing!
