I booked this room after reading reviews that I thought were current. When we got there there was…read moreno restaurant anymore, no 'terrace', no breakfast to speak of and shell of a formerly nice motel hanging on desperately to try to stay afloat. The restaurant is filled with towels and random hotel accessories. The halls are dirty and hot. The 'breakfast' is Otis Spunkmeyer muffins, dry cereal and coffee. Nothing else. Our room was stale and hot and was probably nice when it was renovated 10 years ago. The bathroom had no exhaust, and a mini toilet. The a/c worked and were fine (there's a Kwik Trip nearby) but it was NOT what it's advertised as.

[EDIT: It seems they don't offer room service during your stay, or at least not by default. Maybe you need to affirmatively request it? I'm not sure. Wasn't a deal-breaker for me since it was just me and I was just here for the weekend so there wouldn't have been much for room service to do anyway.] Very basic accommodations and a price point to match, but without the weird smells or quirks or characters you often find at a cheap place like this. Being attached to a typical Wisconsin supper club (Antonio's) with Friday fish fry and Saturday prime rib is a major bonus.

Loved everything about this place- the breakfast nook and lounge area where everything was right…read moreout of the 50's. The rooms all have different names & themes which are lovingly and impressively done. It's a great place for a family gathering as there's loads of outdoor space: 1) large Fire pit in back, 2) Gazebo with lawn games, 3) picnic tables. Then, in front are the BBQ grills and several different-styled patio tables, as well as, 2 colorful nostalgic metal chairs directly outside each room. Lovely landscaping & flowers everywhere. Don't miss the bubbling brook just alongside the South side of the lounge and a peaceful spot to read. We visited Devils Lake Park, a diner in Baraboo, and an escape room in the Dells area. It's nearby lots of attractions. Oh yeah, the family that owns the joint are really nice

We stayed for a long weekend, and and it was the perfect location to get away. The rooms are all themed so when you call to reserve you can pick from the rooms they have available. We stayed in Unit 2, the Devil's Lake room which had photos of Devil's lake. The room included a mini refrigerator, coffee and tea, and alarm clock if needed. Right outside your door they have chairs and tables for enjoying the beautiful weather. They also have grills and an area for bonfires. I was only able to go to the communal area/lobby for the first morning as it was soon closed as they were started to do contactless check in/out. But it seems as though in less COVID-y times they have some coffee or tea there, light breakfast items like mini muffins or breakfast bars and fruit. They also had a communal puzzle and board games. Overall the place is super cozy, perfectly situated for a relaxing vacation with a number of restaurants and small shops to visit in Baraboo.

Stayed a couple nights here over the summer in a condo for a little weekend golf…read more The good: Nice clubhouse bar, decent beer selection, folks working the clubouse were helpful and polite. Was able to get drinks and refills with not too much of a wait. Buffalo Wings were solid. The clubouse had a very good patio, was cool to relax out there after our round with a bourbon. Condo was nice and clean, few amenities, balconies that back up to the fairways. The replica holes were a fun challenge. There was a very nice lady who cleaned our clubs while my group finished the 18th hole. The not so good: For what you're paying for on this course, I expect a little more. Half of the ball washers were empty, none at all had towels. Water coolers on the course were entirely empty on a hot day. Greens were not very well kept, all kinds of chunks taken out of them. Beverage cart was few and far between. One of the guys who worked there had some pace-of-play comments to make to us, even though we were keeping up with and pushing the group in front of us. Overall, had a good time but at those rates, hope you make it a little more worth our while.

Was thinking they can't stay this bad. Never again. The green fee is quite high compared to other local, much, much better conditioned courses. Stay away until they blow up the fairways and redo them. And 7 holes is not a replica course, it is more of a gimmick.
