I'm leaving this review because I wish I knew the ropes when getting a lawyer pro bono. I was disappointed when it came down to discussing the settlement. Christopher gave me a really low-ball offer, less than the monetary damages. Since I wasn't expecting to haggle with my lawyer I stupidly accepted it. Just got off the phone and the phone etiquette was lacking to say the least. The gentleman I spoke to needs to have customer service training. It's sad because some potential clients don't have the specific information needed in that given second, to provide to the callback. The gentleman who called me didn't seem interested in obtaining my case because of the lack of "information". Here I'll give you a tip: other firms took the time to listen and asked if I could send them any documents that stated my vehicles diagnosis and what was done to it as well. They ask for this information because it's a better way to evaluate the situation. Whomever called me today was rude with my ability to explain mechanics to him. I don't know anything about cars.... This vehicle I purchased only had 1300 total miles on it when I got it in late 2018. The Dealer never revealed to me that the turbo unit was replaced by the prior owner@ 800 miles. Glassey Smith got me my money back after I was sold a car that had been crashed. VW of Kearny Mesa sold me a "certified used" GTI that they said was as good as new. They even gave me a checklist of over 100 components that they verified before certifying the car. A few months after buying the car, I'm told by a body shop that my GTI had been crashed. I took the car there because I noticed inconsistencies in the paint. The body shop showed me where it had been crashed and pointed out the very shoddy manner in which it had been fixed. Parts that were supposed to be attached with metal bolts were attached with plastic plugs! In addition, they pointed out that part of the car had been repainted very poorly and, even though it looked decent at the time, would start to crack and peel very soon. Each of the components that had been damaged in the crash, and repaired improperly, had been signed-off on the VW Certified Used Car checklist. I went to KM VW to get my money back and they told me that they would not refund my money and had 1,100 lawyers waiting in case I sued. 1,100!. Then they basically told me to go kick rocks. I first contacted the San Diego Auto Fraud Legal Center and met with them in person. They said that I had a great case and I gave them copies of all my paperwork, but they never got back to me afterwards! Never responded to emails or voicemails. This law firm is probably one of the best in my opinion. I purchased a 2016 Ford Fiesta SE in Puente Hills Ford. This dealer added lots of third party add-on warranty and protection plan into the vehicle, which cost me totally around $31,000! Can you image that? A Fiesta SE, not ST version. I knew, I was so dumb to accept the price. I asked them if any way to lower the price. The dealer insisted that they could not remove the plan since it was already installed. I seemed to be in a hopeless situation until I found Glassey Smith while doing an online search. From the first email and telephone conversation with Chris Smith and Sharon Glassey, I felt at ease, cared about and completely confident that my case would be resolved in my favor. My complicated case involved a 2006 350Z that was bought from a dealership and represented as a Grand Touring edition. Several months later, I was able to discover that it was a Touring edition.
