Recently moved from DFW to the Lawton area and ventured my way into CW Scooters on a Saturday night. The staff was great and made sure my drink never went dry. As a whole, everyone was super friendly and the atmosphere was great. Can't beat the drink specials and plenty to do from catching up with friends, tossing some darts, shooting some pool or polishing your belt buck on the the dance floor. DJ plays a great mix of music with, of course an emphasis on country. Coming from a place with, what I would consider has some fantastic boot-scootn bars, CW's is right up there and I was impressed! read more

Really the only place to go in Lawton on the weekend, expect tons of soldiers and locals. Restrooms are usually disgusting. DJ is meh. Only time people really dance is if they are two stepping or if there is a line dance. Pretty much not a place to be sober if you want to have fun. also smoking is allowed so expect to smell horrendous when you leave read more

Learned about 6 line dances!!!!!!... the regulars are mad fun and instructional lol! Bartenders are cool, doormen cool! Nice authentic Oklahoma place... there weren't any issues on a Saturday night. (If you have asthma the smoke may be a bit much tho lmbo) Also you may get a few tourist looks but anyhoo! 4 stars if they had happy hour bites! #wheninrome read more

Just a place for soldiers to go and get drunk to fight. Drinks have a light poor for the price they charge and the music gives up thot vibes. Seems like alot of people were hooking up there and my buddy ended up leaving with a regular there that gave him a gift that kept giving. read more

Always a great time at scooters! New management is awesome awesome awesome! They took back to what it always was...just a down home honky think with good priced beer, country music, and a dance floor. Simple but a true gem! read more

The DJ sucks. The new owners did a good job cleaning the coke stains out of the bathroom but the DJ is epically the worst I have witnessed, I usually will dance most of the night but I did not. Ive only been back twice since the newest owners took over, three stars because music is the thing that Carrie's dance clubs. read more

This place was pretty gross and disappointing. Saw they were having a ladies free before 8pm and then somehow the doorman said at the door it was $5.. first problem. Second, everywhere posted they note drinks half off and yet not one bartender could tell me what drinks were half off so we had to pay full price.. The tables were sticky and the bouncer was so insanely rude. Never again read more

This is currently Lawton's most popular bar. Most simply call it Scooters. Make no mistake it is a country bar above all other purposes. Scooters features a fairly large dance floor with enough room for a couple to step through some complex country dance moves. But arrive early to do anything fancy. Once the club is packed, the floor gets packed with couples and line dancers. Scooters tends to get very crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. The crowds predictably grew even larger when Scooters' main competitor, the Electric Cowboy, closed. The interior has a good amount of open space and a high ceiling. Cigarette smoke here isn't as bad as some other Lawton night spots, but if you visit on a crowded night you will smell like an ashtray when you leave. The mix of music is the usual of any mainstream country bar: blocks of recent country music hits separated by a few non-country dance tunes. The same complaint about the playlist here can be made at so many other places. The playlist doesn't get updated often and lacks variety. If you're there long enough, you'll hear "Atomic Dog," "Electric Slide," "Pussy Control" and that damned "Cha Cha Slide" thing played at least once or twice. Just about any bar will play "Back in Black" by AC/DC as an attempt to make us white guys happy. But that song is not meant for grinding on the dance floor. Air guitar and slamming a shot is more appropriate. The crowd can get pretty rowdy at times. Fights were not all that common in the past, but more have occurred recently. The upside is there are plenty of bouncers and they do immediately eject those who try to get violent. Scooters features three bar counters, a beer cart (on the weekends) and a staff of servers. The place is prepared to serve the volume of customers up to what the fire code will allow to enter. Variety of beers is average (you will have to travel elsewhere to find anything exotic). I'm not the best one to judge their mixed drinks since I'm mainly a beer drinker in social situations. I give Scooters a three out of five stars rating. It might rate higher if the music playlist was recycled with a wider variety of more current stuff. read more

Great place to go if you are wanting to hangout or kick up your heels! Best bartender (Tara) in town and they even have free dance lessons on Fridays with Rachel! We try to go every week and always have a blast read more

The best all time bar in Lawton always be turned up there all the time been away for awhile it's time for me to come back up there since I been to the city the drinks are cheap loving the ladies night on Wednesday and On Saturday nights the best day to go a lot of be there and every thing plus they got some games like beer pong darts and the Punching bag machine just love it!!!! read more

I've only been there a handful of times. Tonight I got escorted out, for being there when my friends had the same amount. I was just dancing on the dance floor and they said I "I could be there" without explanation. So we all had to leave. I would only assume because I was trying to dance with my boyfriend. Otherwise, it's fine read more

Pros: cheap 3.2 beer, pool tables, beer pong. Cons: trouble everywhere, cover to get in, lots of townies, same music, cigarette smoke everywhere, and impossible to get a cab. This is one of the more popular weekend bars in Lawton, but is definitely a hotel in the wall compared to most bars in America. If your looking to have some tainted memories with your friends or like country music a lot I recommend this place other then that your better off just drinking at home or a friends house. read more

Really fun bar! They play a variety of country and hip hop music. There is plenty of space: dance floor, pool tables, darts, etc. Bartenders were quick/prompt on drink orders. You are allowed to smoke inside as well! read more

Being from CA I didn't expect much going to a bar in Lawton, but I was pleasantly surprised! I went on a Saturday, it was pretty crowded but the service was still fast and they had a good variety of music. Big dance floor if you like to dance! read more

Prepare yourself for a lot of country music plus some random throwing in other genres like RnB and forgotten old hits! A lot of line dancing and two stepping! A real cowboy bar : ) it's not all that bad once you get drunk and are in a good company, but music is really bad! Oh and people need a dress code- it's NOT OK to go to the bar with sweatpants, shorts and/or flip flops... People please?! read more

First of all, I'm not a big fan of dance clubs and certainly not country music. That being said, I will still give Scooters a great review. Nearly every business review you see for this town begins with "Well, for Lawton this is okay." This place is great by any standards. As others have said; this is mostly country music and any other tracks they play are fairly dated. The prices were great, the bartenders were EXCELLENT, the dance floor is fairly large and the crowd is diverse. My wife, also not a country fan, had a great time as well. I'm sure many people are reluctant to visit a country bar but don't be, you will be pleasantly surprised. read more

Pretty much the only club in the wastelands of SW Oklahoma. The security staff is typically on point and keep the gangster wannabes and methfiends out. When soldiers are deployed or in training, nearly the entirety of the female patrons are spouses looking for a fling. Not necessarily Scooters fault but it speaks volumes about law read more

It's the only club in Lawton. Smoking is ok in side so you will smell like a ashtray when you leave. Plays random music on rotation. Country, hip hop, and some line dancing. It the place where everyone goes. read more

A very standard roadside country dance hall/bar. Was exceptionally surprised with fri night .75 cent domestic bottle beer, was a hellava deal!.. And any coin on Thursday will get you a beer as well.. Can't beat that. Smoking inside is ok but isn't that noticeable as its a large structure so your not smelling like an ashtray after you leave. Entry was 5 bucks but the beer prices more than offset that cost. Good crowd with a good guy to girl ratio (at least fri night) would overall recommend this bar if you like to just have a good time an dance n drink on the cheap! read more

I loved Scooters. I had heard all kinds of crap about the bar. And last weekend I went out and had an amazing time with my girls. I know one of the bouncers out there so I felt very safe. It is a country bar but I enjoyed the hip hop. read more

The local hook up spot. Need a wife? Husband? Or just a easy booty call? Head to scoots...

I came into this establishment with high hopes, hoping to relieve stress and enjoy myself for the first time in months. I witnessed a verbal and physical altercation between patrons in front of the main bar closest to the entrance. Shortly after the forementioned altercation I witnessed, one of the African American security guards place his hands on a white patron that was supposedly involved physically in the altercation, that I witnessed. I simply questioned the forementioned security guard on what I observed to be an abuse of authority, in which he had no right to place his hands on the forementioned patron. He then non-directly threatened to "kick my ass" verbally twice. After which he called his fellow security guards to surround me and ask me to leave. After I exited the establishment the "floor manager" continued to inquire about what happened to me outside. I informed him of what I witnessed and he "claimed" that he would look into the security cameras, and question the forementioned security guard. I then returned to my vehicle in which my "DD" was driving who also witnessed everything that occurred. He informed me that he was listening to the police scanner and heard that the police were dispatched to C W Scooters, in reference to a "disgruntled patron that witnessed an altercation, in reference to a white male named "Brandon"". I then walked back towards the entrance and questioned the "floor manager" asking politely if he could please page my friend to have him come outside since he was part of our original "3" person party. At which time LPD had already arrived in response to the "disturbance" call. The man I talked to in place of the "floor manager" informed me that the police had not been called on me, "lying to my face". Then tried to express his empathy towards me, stating that he hopes that I decide to come back. Lol, I will never be back as long as I live, and I hope that anyone else that reads this review feels the same way! read more
