LOL is all I have to say. horrible experience with a horrible POS car. my dad called it the jeep from hell and at the end we celebrated that we survived!! we booked it with one of the guys close by to the ferry terminal, but the car was just horrible. check engine light was on, the old thing needed new tires, half of the back was cracked and broken. we definitely thought the thing would not start again once we turned it off. it felt like I was in more of an ATV and not a jeep. definitely did not count as a car. in my opinion it was honestly hilarious and just created funny memories. I didn't have to drive so I was just enjoying myself in the backseat, but if you like if your life, do not rent from here ! read more

Buggy we rented was falling apart. The back seat was a foam mat with some seat cover tossed over that. The check engine light was on entire day. We paid $100 for 7 hours. We paid cash for car but they needed a card for "incidentals". When we got home we noticed random charges for $8-10 daily for last week. We called our credit card to dispute. We rented a car to go around Cozumel for a day. $90 for 7 hours is very expensive but hey, it's a tourist trap, ok. We were not surprised when they said the insurance was not really included. Our jeep was probably 10 years old. All the engine lights were on. Check engine, tire pressure, traction control, and a couple others. There was NO seatbelt. The seatbelt chime would not stop. These guys are crooks. They will tell you their cars are higher quality and newer. The reality is their cars are no different than any others but they will rip you off on surcharges when you return the car. We were charged 2,200 pesos for a van and drove it 30km round trip - literally rented it for 5 hours. We put 100 pesos of gas into the car and they charged us a 200 pesos fine claiming there wasn't enough gas even though we had a picture proving otherwise. Extremely deceitful company. We bought ferry tickets and a "convertible" car before hand at one of the booths. Pictures looked nice, once we got there the car was a complete POS. The floor was rotted with holes, no seat belt worked, the radio and fans didn't work, even the horn did not work. And they charged us $60. This car shouldn't even be on the road. We get there and were ignored for the first 20 minutes while they helped someone that came in after us, and then made us write "we are 100% responsible for the car" on the contract, even after paying extra for liability insurance. Worst service in Playa del Carmen. Edwin and Abel promised us an automatic Jeep with removable top to be picked up at Cozumel. We paid them $200. Upon our arrival at Cozumel they did not have the car available and are refusing to return our money. Garbage. Absolutely garbage!! Do not go here!!!! A vendor named carlos on playa de carmen told us we would get a Volkswagen Jetta with AC for a great deal from $130 to $93 for the day. He got us our ferry tickets to Cozumel and once we got to This place they told me to sign paperwork, the car had to be back by 7pm AND THEN told me the car is not new. Once I seen it, I just wanted to get on with our trip since it was already 2:15. Lucy ( who worked there ) Told me to rent snorkel gear from them since it's cheaper and I didn't have to rent from different places we stopped at so once I gave her the rest of my money she said I owed her $10 to which I told her I didn't have anymore cuz we paid car in cash. She said , ok then just $5 and I told her cmon, the car is due back by 7 and I don't have anymore money. She just smiled and walked away. When we got back we got into an argument with 2 guys who's said I owed $5. My son had money on him so we paid them due to being in a different. Country and not wanting it to escalate but no reason to scam tourists for every nickel and damn just cuz we r on vacation. I called my credit card to cancel it since they had on file. DO NOT USE THEM! They lied about automatic/ manual, we got them at playa del Carmen, he didn't tell us about having to put gas, the Jeep was ugly and they were rude. Seat belts didn't work/ brake lights didn't work. At the end we only drove the car for about 1 hr and they over charged us for gas because we didn't have pesos. 1st do not use them, 2nd do not book with them since playa del Carmen (they'll charge like 30-40 dollars more).
