Loads of wooden toys and scientific games plus standbys like Elmer and Kidorable wellies/Macs. Kids can enjoy themselves here but buggies have to stay outside. Thankfully, as this is the Costwolds, it won't get nicked. Many toys are very inexpensive and with only about 45. Fine for me but I think less technical people would have had a problem The second time the item came they were fine. The third the item not work and returning them was a joke. They basically are a model for when an old school retail company goes online and does not understand software like the modern ecommerce firms do. I order loads of stuff online and none of the other firms have been so useless with returns. You have to email, it takes 12 hours to get a response, there is no online interface with a button to organise returning items like with proper ecommerce companies. so have to email, giving them two working days notice. first time courier did not come, so had to contact them. Then the second time they actually turned up. Then 2 weeks after them taking back the package, the refund was not on my card. Each time I had to contact them, explain things and it was a couple of emails, all in all taking up about 1.5 hours of my time! Each time I had to notice or nothing would happen, they never emailed me to confirm anything, so I had to check. They were polite by email, otherwise it would have been a much worse experience. They do have some good toys that are not available elsewhere, but due to how hard returns have been for me, if they are available elsewhere I would buy them from those other places.

The shop is always well stocked with a variety of childrens toys, including some you are unlikely to find in many supermarkets. Reasonably priced, this would be the ideal place to purchase a child's Christmas present. How the shop survives the rest of the year I do not know, but it always seems to be fairly bustling, so I suggest combining a visit with a trip to Waitrose or something. It's not worth heading in to town for a visit alone, but be sure to bear it in mind.

The shops inside the Plaza Mall are a bit odd as many shop units have two shops in one. Blue Crystal Collectables is no exception. To get to the toy fun you have to first navigate a tiny sewing shop, the juxtaposition of the two together is very odd when it's a sea of pastels and beige to a back drop of dark horror toy type fun. A lot of what they have on offer can be seen through the windows on the sides of the booth. If you are a toy geek missing that one toy from 10years ago but don't want to pay ebay prices then you may well find it here. The stock ranged from old 90's reboot Captain Scarlett toys to Buffy to Living Dead Dolls and the Masters of Horror toy line. Nothing was excessively priced but you did wonder where they found this diverse range of toys from and what car boots they were going to to stock their shelves. If anyone knows then let me know cause I want to go there now.
