But when I left I look at my receipt and was charged $18.00 in TAX? I went back in and asked how much their tax was! They changed my amount total and added $5 . I guess $13.00 in tax makes sense?? I went in for a pedicure. Granted it has been three months since my last pedicure and my toenails are long and ragged from me either tearing them off or haphazardly trimming them with clippers. I was asked Gel or regular, I said regular, they tried to upsell me to Gel. I said regular polish was fine. When I sat down in the chair the girl said she would need to use a machine to thin my toenails down (I do not have diabetic toenails and frequently trim my own toenails with regular clippers), and she would have to use callous remover and my pedicure would cost 50.00. When I told her my normal nail salon just uses regular clippers as I do, she said that was how she would have to do it. Twice I was pressured to upcharge my pedicure. Seems they were determined to have me pay 50.00 for a standard pedicure. If they do not want the business, they should just say so instead of these unethical and unprincipled tactics. I will go home and pay 35.00 for a pedicure that includes a sugar scrub and 10-minute massage. Would not recommend the place based on this experience. The vibe there is not friendly, but more of a pressure sales place. read more

Sitting in the chair waiting for my toes to dry as I write this. This was the fastest I have ever gotten a pedicure & I was very unsatisfied! From start to finish was 10 minutes! The place I usually go to was very busy and C & K nails was my last resort. I don't know if all the employees do their services this fast but avoid the older man with the glasses because he sped through my pedicure. Legit only spent a minute massaging my legs where as I've been to places and they take at least 10 minutes. It wasn't even a nice rub and it more aggressive. Worst pedicure of my life! They claim it is a deluxe pedicure, the lady rubbed my feet for maybe 30 seconds each. It was so rushed. They put hot wax on your feet and leave you to sit there. Every place I've been to in Durango or Denver rub your calves while the wax is sitting. The girl was also super rude. For a Deluxe pedicure I was in the nail salon for about 25 min... also the color selection is bad! Avoid. The chick was so rude. read more

Id like to give zero stars to this place. I was in town visiting and didn't know a lot of nail salons here. I was getting anxiety with the pedicure bowl. I was unsure if it was clean or not because I saw a client leave and I was seated right after them. The towels on the bowl also had wet feet prints on them. On all my visits, the female lady behind the desk has been rude. Tells me to go away and come back because they are busy. My last visit last month i was told to wait while two employees were available and one of them being the lady behind the counter. I asked why there are two employees ready to work and I have to wait 15 minutes. She responded, you always ask for him and he does your nails. I don't do a good job as he does. I was confused! I never ask for anyone. I go and sign in and told to wait. At one point she told me come back after 12. I had an 84 year old male that asked for a pedicure. He said what? Is she asking we go? And she did tell us to go. I waited with the elderly cause it is tough for him to move about... he hurts. The place cleared out and she made rude comments and took only him. This is the worst nail salon! They rushed through my pedicure, it felt like it only took her 5 mins. The next day I had small blisters on the side of my toes. Keep in mind, this is the first time this has ever happened to me. I went back and explained to her what had happened and asked for a refund. The lady that owns this place is ridiculous. Usually Daisy does a good job but my daughter went for a reg pedicure no gel and it was an awful job! The paint job was really bad. Then she also got a wax. Total price 56 bucks! She pays and the owner charged her card twice. We called the bank and they said easily the owner could reverse the extra charge. The owner refused! So we had to make a claim with the bank. There was no reason to refuse she screwed up! Don't go here unless you want a five yr old paint job and if you want to be double charged! I called for an appointment and they said come in at 4. I was seated at 4:15 pm. While soaking ,my feet in the hot water, I asked the owner who was doing my pedicure about gel and it was to much so I went ahead with the normal polish. She said it's $20.00 less down the street.I said no that's ok. She again in courage me to go down the street that she hasn't started yet. I again said no I would stay. She was completely rude. When she was finished my feet were rougher than when I got there, she told me it takes two or three times until its smooth, I have never experienced this before. She was talking in another language to the male doing the nails next to her so I could not understand, Then I asked if I could get my hands done too (no one was waiting) and she told me no it's by appointment only. While making the appointment on the phone she never asked what I was having done so why wouldn't she let me do my hands? After leaving a $10.00 tip like I always do elsewhere, I got into my car and noticed my nails on both feet were smeared badly!! I was so upset with the treatment I got from her that I did not want to go back in to get it fixed. I have been going to CK Nails for quite a few months but today convinced me that I will never go again. The usual person that does my nails was out sick so I was sat at a gentlemen's table for my nails which was fine because he has done my nails before. However, he seemed to be in a very bad mood and I told him that I wanted my nails short he said OK and proceeded but then he started to put on the acrylic and had not shortened my nails. I asked him again to shorten my nails and he got up from the table and refused to finish my nails because I had asked again. I didn't think I was out of line in asking again (I was not rude). I am the PAYING customer and just want my nails done like I like them. The owner finished my nails but it was a very uncomfortable feeling. I just didn't feel appreciated as a customer and need to find somewhere that doesn't get offended and walks off with the job unfinished. read more
