John Did our deck two years ago. They did a great job on time and on budget. It looks great. The…read morereason I am reviewing now is because I called him on the weekend because in the last big storm our basement walkout window below the deck leaked. I thought the deck was causing the problem. John called back on the weekend right after I called and came over on Monday. He checked it over and showed me that our windows on the second level aren't sealed tight anymore, and rain coming at the house sideways can leak in and go to the first level of the house. The problem was the window, not the deck. But get this, he then offered to drop by later this week with some calking and calk the window at no charge. I am very impressed. I highly recommend this business!

I had an absolutely appalling experience with Blue Lake Landscaping. I have been battling a…read moredrainage issue in my back yard for over a year now and called Blue Lake for a consult, as they appeared to be a reputable landscaping company with the expertise in drainage that I required. When I called, I clearly explained that my landscaping was completed but needed help with a drainage issue. When 'Fab', who claims to be the owner, showed up, I went through the issue with him. His first response was, 'Why are you wasting my time?' He then, quite rudely, tells me that my project is much too small for his company and demanded an apology for taking him away from more important jobs. I explained that I went through the scope of what I needed with the lady who took my initial call. After a nasty back-and-forth conversation where I admittedly used some colorful language, he re-read the notes that were passed onto him on his phone and started to backtrack, saying he should fire his secretary. He then flung a few insults towards my initial contractor's poor work quality and left. I was completely blown away by how unprofessional and rude someone in a service business could be to a potential client requesting to pay for his services. Blue Lake will never get a dime of my money and I'll relay this story to anyone considering using them.
