On Monday after Thanksgiving I found this LBS in Yelp. I went to their review and RIGHT ON their website had SEVERAL riding jackets for women! THE 1st jacket I tried on was THE ONE! I looked at a few others but went back to that 1st one and loved the snug fit, soft leather, warm lining and the way it hugged my curves! I ended up with the jacket, a fleece lined neck gator and some leather conditioner. Tuesday I go to the airport and wear my jacket for the 1st time, took it off for security and it ripped on the inside sleeve liner snap-down. That was disappointing What the lining is "supposed to" look like..... and it ripped when I took it off THE 1ST time ..... not real happy if this is the actual quality of workmanship to look forward to. I'm still giving them 5 stars for the selection of jackets and clothing for women, the wall of patches and the amount of gear they carry. I'm going to sew on the snap-down when I get home but they make the jackets there so any hardware repairs can be fixed (by mail for me) locally. Business: This is a metaphysical shop with crystals, gemstones, rocks; jewelry; hand-made soaps with stones and herbs; incense holders and many types and fragrances of incense, including cone incense and backflow incense burners. Brandi is a Reiki Master, and a Native American Cherokee and Chippewa, on her grandmother's side. She grew up with her grandmother performing the religious and spiritual rituals and practices of her Native American Tribe. She mentioned smudging or cleansing with sage, to remove bad or negative energy from the home, workplace, etc..., or to do on yourself or family to remove any negative or bad energy from unpleasant experiences. I find it so interesting and enlightening to learn about different Heritages and religious and spiritual practices. She had a store before this one that was on Reno Ave, before they moved to this newer store on 44th Street. Before that she operated out of her home, and she loves talking about the metaphysical and it's why she wanted a store so she could help people in person. Soft Opening was on 13-15 Oct 2021. Grand Opening was on 16-17 Oct 2021. My experience: As I came in on a Friday at 7pm, they were open til 8pm, but I kept Brandi til 830pm asking so many questions as she is very knowledgeable. I kept asking her if she needed to close and leave by 8pm and that I'd come back to finish on Saturday. She said she was good and was waiting on a family member to come to the shop anyway, so I didn't feel too bad keeping her past closing. I bought her last bottle of Moon Water in the store and she said she'll have to make more to bring in later. I bought an adorable dragonfly ring, as I love dragonflies, and love when they fly and hover around me like they're speaking to me or giving me a sign about something. I got a ceramic crescent moon back-flow cone incense burner, a clear plastic incense holder, with a moon on it, that changes colors based on the position and lighting, and a metal incense holder that holds five incense sticks in a circle with one cone incense space, and of course, the phases of the moon engraved in it. I got a box of cone incense and a package of stick incense. I got a pretty black kyanite pendant that is supposed to protect you and keep away negative or bad energy. I got a black tourmaline stone shaped in a small wand. And lastly I got some mini soap stones that were carved into animals. Two being wolves and two of cats. They give discounts to military and Veterans so another plus for this shop.
