Who likes public service organizations?…read more I don't. There is this depressing and sad atmosphere. People behind the counter look grumpy. Plus, their IT systems are from the 1970's and efficiency is zero (that alone would make me be grumpy all day) Surprisingly, this doesn't account for the Bezirksamt Pankow. At least not all of it. Sure, the average worker age is still 65 BUT they do have a lot of procedures outsourced to online (woah!) so you don't need to come in and wait forever just to get a signature. Their appointment system is also handy, once you get your visit scheduled you only need to come in 5mins before your appointment starts. You still won't get a smile from the workers but at least you're outta there in a reasonable time.

I had a delicious mix of Spätzle and grilled veggies topped with a nice fresh salad. it was even dairy free, though the noodles have eggs in them. we got the white asparagus special too, but the stalks were a bit tough and bitter. the butter herb sauce and the hollandaise were both delicious!
