So many tables already reserved but no one sitting there yet- it kind of stunk for us, and for other hungry guests. So we ordered food from the bar and sat in chairs by the fire. The food was tasty and filling- satiated our hungry desires. The pig tongue starter was strange but the curry soup shooter was nice. Most everything was "typical Swiss" with hardly any spice. I recommend the Alpina specials- the two of us sampled both plates. But the price was a bit high- over 150CHF- for both me and my mate. The bartender served our drinks and meals- he was nice and sociable too. Come to Alpina by the banhof for a room for the night or for food!

We have been to Gargellen for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer and we can't imagine a more perfect place for both. If you travel to Austria we highly recommend this peace of Heaven.
