Probably the worst beer and the rudest service in all of Germany. We went there on a friday night…read moreand ordered a pint of Guinness and half a pint of Kilkenny, and when the beer arrived, it was weak and flat. The Guinness tasted as if it had been diluted, and the Kilkenny as if the beer pump and pipes were in severe need of a thorough cleaning. It was barely drinkable. When we mentioned this to the barman, he said 'Well, you ordered it yourselves, so if you don't like it, it's really not my problem. Maybe you should go home and brush your teeth before drinking it.'
Very efficient way of losing customer's patronage, thank you very much. Never setting foot there again.
Oh, and incidentally ... behind the bar were stacks of canned beer which looked as if it had been bought in one of the nearby tax free border shops and now were being sold illegally here.
